Verified Customer Reviews for Richa Rain Tech Waterproof Boots
Customers generally find these boots comfortable and well-made, offering good value for the price. Many advise ordering one or two sizes up for the best fit, as they tend to run small. Features like Velcro tabs on zips and heel blocks are appreciated. While some mention minor issues with tightness around the leg and potential leakage in heavy rain, overall satisfaction is high for road use and moderate weather conditions.
I've only just started wearing these boots but so far they're very nice, comfortable and a good fit. Waterproof so far but I've not ridden in anything really heavy yet hence 4 stars in stead of 5. The only thing I would say is that I had to go up 2 sizes for a good fit and that was with normal thin socks.
Firstly, as everyone else says, get at least 1, if not 2 sizes larger than you normally would. I'm a UK size 9 but have had two different pairs of Richa boots now at size 10 and they have still been a snug fit. A size 11 would probably still be comfortable enough.
These boots are a tight fit, especially around the ankle which can make them a bit more difficult to slide your foot into, but comfy once on. They have worn in quickly and the zip and velcro seem to be a bit more rugged than some others I've tried. Haven't been able to test them in the extreme wet yet but they have kept me perfectly dry in mild rainy days. There is less 'stitched on' panels on this boot compared to my older similar Richa boots, and that is a good thing as the stitching is prone to breaking off leaving the protective panels hanging off and completely compromising the integrity of the boot. Without these 'stiched on' panels, these boots should last a bit longer. The toe sliders are a welcome addition at this price level for a waterproof boot, helping them be useful in all weather conditions.
Finally, they don't seem to be too hot to wear on a sunny day so that is good.
I bought 44 and it's very good for the money but if like me you sometimes fit a 43 I or 44 I go bigger. But very well made.
Great boots, very comfortable but as others have said you really need to go 2 sizes up as very tight fitting. Im normally a 43 in all footwear but had to get 45s.
Bought as a gift for my husband as his previous pair are beginning to wear out after heavy use over four years. As other reviews have said they do come up small and so sized up for a perfect fit. Not yet worn but look stylish and are extremely well made. Expect them to be as good as his current pair.
Comfortable boots, too early to review how waterproof or durability
Firstly - try before you buy, to get the right size. I had to go two sizes up to get a good fit. When I did, they are very comfortable on and off the bike and very impressive for the price point. However, they are not a precision tool. They are certainly a touring boot for long lazy rides and not a sports boot. Frequent gear changes in these on my Street Triple get very frustrating. They are quite clumpy and upshifts are made far too slow for anything resembling brisk riding.
First pair of Richas, but probably not the last. As with most other people, I went +1 size than I'd normally wear & (43 up to 44) & they fit well. Comfortable to wear, light & even decent to walk around in. Couple of good little touches with the Velcro tabs on the zips & the little heel 'block' that makes them easier to take off. Good boots & good value.
Bought these as replacements for my old boots and wore them for the first time on a 6 day trip to Normandy and they took no time at all to get used to and bed in.
As other reviewers have stated, they are on the small size so I bought a size 12 and I'm usually a 10 but they fit really well and are very comfortable.
One thing that I do especially find very usefull are the pieces built into the boot on the back of the heel that allow you to use your other foot to push them off with - my other boots split on the back of the heel because they didn't have this.
Top marks from me.
Look and feel sturdy, very comfy even in break-in but I always but slightly too large so I can get layers in winter.
I went 2 sizes larger and with thick socks it's a snug fit.
Yet to test in bad weather but during riding in the rain for an our I had a tiny damp patch on left foot, yet to have more rain for me to confirm leakage.
These boots have comfortably lasted me a year, bearing in mind I've used them quite roughly. I suspect this is the reason why in the last 2 major rainfalls I've been getting leakages in the boots due to holes/stitching becoming undone.
If you use these boots purely on the road these will last you a lifetime and are very good!
Well made and comfortable good quality ad fit
Although small for the size
Need to get me or two sizes bigger..
Once they soften a bit they will be great
Great quality boots. There were not many options available as I wanted synthetic material boots. I am glad that I went for these as they are excellent for the price. As suggested by other reviewers, I also found that 1 size up than my normal shoe size fits perfectly!! I highly recommend this product.
I have had various makes of Boots over the years and this is my Second Pair of Richa, this time I went a size bigger and fit perfect. These boots are very Comfortable and not even worn in yet. Ridden in both Rain and Scorching Hot Days with no problems.
After reading previous reviews I thought I would get two sizes bigger than normal which proved to be the correct thing to do The boots are lightweight but sturdy and certainly waterproof ( Scotland always has plenty of rain to test that out ) There was loads of room in the calf area so again no issues there
Good quality zips on the boots which is nicely secured by velcro
The soles are good and they didn't slip off the pegs as some others can
All in all a great product at a great price and it came in two days
Excellent quality and fast delivery.
Gone for 2 sizes up this time and they fit a treat.
These boots are made really small. I had to go 2 sizes up to get a good fit. Now that I have the correct size, they are really comfortable. They are well made and well finished. The zips close well and the velcro really seals everything in keeping them watertight. In my experience they are nice and light although I am changing from adventure boots to these. I am not sure if they will be warm enough as winter boots but they are coping well with my morning commute in Scottish springtime weather. I am really happy with their performance so far.
As always, Richa's build quality is on par with the greats!
Always go one size up with Richa boots though.. I'm a size 11 and ordered a 12.
They were a little tight at first, as with most boots, but quickly loosened up after the 2nd use and toe space is decent.
The only downside for me is that the size isn't true. This is my 2nd pair from Richa and I've had to go a size up both times. Not really a big deal considering what you're getting at for its great price!
