Excellent
24 June 2024 by Keith H
Great suit well
Made with plenty of ventilation and pockets
I had the original Badlands and this is an improvement
In between got a Rukka Nivala Suit which is on its 3rd Jacket zip and overall not impressed with it
Klim in my opinion are a better product

I love this Jacket
20 February 2024 by Graham F
Does everything I want. If bought for use in heavy rain invest in Klim's stormcollar and for colder rides get a down jacket (I prefer the Rukka one as it fits me better).

Lots going on with this jacket
17 February 2024 by Mark R
This is quite a technical jacket with a huge amount of thought and detail put in. If I had to be properly critical I would say it is heavy and a full zip to the trousers rather than a back zip is preferred. A higher collar also definitely needed. I had to get a storm collar to stop my neck getting wet and water running down my back as I'm a tall guy. It is a great jacket and fits very well.

Klim Badlands pro
06 February 2024 by Allan R
Unlike Rukka there is more room in this jacket, bought a large and plenty of room to layer up underneath, shame Klim don't give a down jacket with this jacket!
Quite heavy but fasten the kidney belt and don't know it's on.
Loads of vents but not tested yet nor have I been out in the rain.
Quality seems top notch as expected.
Large investment but so far well worth the money and looks fab.
Bought from Boston store and staff couldn't be more helpful.
First class service as usual from SBS *****

Klim badlands pro

After receiving 8 broken ribs after being knocked off my GS, my replacement was going to be robust, I've only wore a couple of times in really horrible weather the jacket doesn't disappoint, the weight which I thought would be an issue is not the kidney belt transfers the weight like a good rucksack, fit and finish is simply the best I have ever seen

Excellent jacket
28 January 2023 by Stu
As you would expect from Klim and for the price, this is an excellent jacket. There are plenty of features including pockets and vents and a handy credit card pocket on the left sleeve. The kidney belt helps take the weight off your shoulders but can be tucked away if you don't want it. I haven't worn it in the rain yet but with it being goretex I'm not expecting any problems. The style means there is a bit of room for base layers underneath, this is the only fault with the jacket, at this price, it should come with a thermal liner. Overall, very pleased.

Klim Badlands Pro Jacket
14 December 2022 by Blazej M
The Jacket on it's own is brilliant. So many very well designed features. Plenty of ventilation. And 100% waterproof. I really appreciate stealth black colour. The sizing is odd and in my opinion if you wearing size Large try first Medium.
Plenty of pockets including one secret hidden onside the jacket.
Why only three stars? It's only like that because someone from sportbikeshop decided to ship thousand pounds jacket wrapped only in plastic bag. No box. Only thin plastic bag. As a result of that hanger was damaged and some scratches are on the sleeves.

Expensive but if it lasts another 18 Years I will
05 May 2022 by Gary S
No doubt very expensive but as is normal with Klim gear the construction and the design are excellent that plus if you shop around on the SBS website you can see end of line and odd sizes which are at substantial discounts. This jacket replaced my HG Master which on reflection is about 18 years old so with the tough build quality, tri-laminate, gortex pro construction and AAA protection should be ideal. Lots of vents, kidney belt is great at taking extra weight

Incredible quality
05 March 2022 by Lee C
True to size. I'm a Medium in most clothes. The Medium fits perfectly. ln length and width. Loose, relaxed fit as it's an Adventure jacket.
It oozes quality. Everything feels like a well evolved design and robust.
More pockets than you'll ever need.
The armour stays in place.
I've read some reviews that say it's too heavy.
It is heavy.
However, the built in kidney belt transfers at least 50% of the weight to your hips making it lighter on your shoulders.
So, it only feels heavy twice. When you go to put it on or take it off.
Being triple laminated it is a little stiff. For me this is fine in a jacket but I opted for the double layer Klim Carlsbad pants. Makes climbing over a loaded, two up GS a touch easier.
SBS had it in their sale with £250 off and delivered it next day. Result!
Is it worth £1000? That depends entirely on you. If you're looking for a top quality bit of ADV kit Klim must surely be on your list.

Great most weather textile jacket
02 March 2022 by Garth M
So as they want you to review the item about 3 days after you've received it, all I can say is that it looks good, feels good, is heavy, ok if you're wearing it, but heavy to carry around! I bought this jacket after having worn a mates, riding in torrential rain, after which my waterproof gloves and boots were soaked through, but not the jacket, my arms and torso were dry, wish I'd had the trousers, so yes a great jacket if you get the time to actually wear it before giving an honest review!!

Great Jacket, but let down by poor quality zips
02 August 2021 by Simon R
Expensive jacket, does exactly what I want. It is heavy but it's weatherproof.
However, this is the second jacket I have had - the first being replaced under warranty following two zips failing. The replacement jacket zip has also failed and been repaired under warranty.
I am disappointed with such an expensive jacket.

Great jacket, worth the expense?
27 June 2021 by Steve L
The jacket is very well made out of the best materials, excellent ventilation and Gore-Tex so definitely waterproof.
The use of D30 armour is good, not sure whey they have opted for foam chest pads instead of providing D30 chest inserts. The lack of adjustable arms in 2 places limits the fitting of the armour to suit every rider and the should inserts sit way back so don't cover the front of the deltoid without having to manipulate the armour into place every time you out the jacket on.
Ventilation is excellent wearing in hot weather isn't a huge problem as long as your moving, without airflow it is too warm and bulky.
Also a shame that there is little stock of the sizes through the range. The cut of klim products seem to be for more portly figures and for such a high expense you would expect more adjustability to have the product fit all people shapes.
I'm really pleased with the jacket quality but just not sure whether I can live with the poor fitting.

Well worth £1k?
06 February 2020 by Christopher L
After watching countless reviews and then trying it on in SBS in Milton Keynes (great customer service), I bought this and don't regret it.
It is a little heavy but the kidney belt works well and on a recent 2hr commute to work I felt safer and warmer, but not overheating. I use Gore-tex a lot in the mountains and the breathability is a feature you can feel the difference with.
I am 5' 10, usually a 44, but the large was big enough. The XL swamped me. One issue is the diameter of the sleeves. My arms are not huge, and I'm 50, but the sleeves around bicep, and forearm surprisingly, is very snug.
The zip to attach matching trousers feels a little flimsy and is hard to do up but other than that it looks and feels great. Other commentators have suggested it takes a thousand miles to break in - easily a few hundred but a small price to pay. This is my first piece of Klim kit and I bought the trousers to match. These are much lighter and more comfortable than you might expect. I am looking at other Klim kit as a result.

The best jacket
29 October 2019 by Daniel D
It's very comfortable to wear also being waterproof do to gorotex pro I definitely recommend, also stops the wind this way you don't need to wear many layers beneath.
It has lots of vents good for the summer as well.

Superb!
17 September 2019 by Ben G
This is a huge amount of money for a jacket but I am so glad I went for it. It's heavy (very heavy!) but once it is on you don't notice the weight and it feels secure. I'm 6'5" with 36" waist and 43" chest which puts me border line between the L & XL. In the end I went for the L and the fit is spot on. With the kidney belt fastened it lifts the jacket slightly which improves the comfort and positioning of the armour.
Most of the time I ride with a single base layer underneath but there is room for a second (and at a push a third) thermal layer as needed. The venting seems good but I haven't yet exposed it to full summer heat.

Very Impressed
22 March 2019 by K T
New to the Klim range and could not be happier!! Excellent quality all round and was a little surprised with the weight although it's not an issue when wearing. Very comfy and long at the back which is what I was after. Plenty of room and even had to send back for a smaller size. Previous jacket was a Wolf 3XL, had to go for 2XL in the Klim gear. No thermal liner as such in this jacket but was noticeably better in a ride out in March with zips closed. Any colder I would recommend going for layers. You get a handy little Medical/ID card you can send off for with it's own pocket. Plenty of room in the other multi pockets. Only gripes.. Sleeves on the long side but ok when riding so cancels itself out. If you have the longer gloves like myself, they can be a bit of a pain because there is no zip at the wrist to help get them on and if you put over the jacket, it can bunch a fair bit because of the sleeve length.. Would defo recommend a look at the very least...
