Straight out the bag this jacket feels so soft to the touch it oozes quality , it's well made with fantastic materials. The armour is super flexible and light and overall the jacket is light and comfortable to wear, i like the fact it hasnt got any waist or wrist adjustment to dig into you and keeps the jacket lines clean and simple. You need to go one size up when ordering , I'm usually an XL but the 2XL fits perfectly . You can also throw the whole jacket in wash at 30°.

A nice comfortable summer jacket that perfectly compliments the Rideknit trousers. But, be aware that the size chart is misleading. My Rukka and Halvarsson jackets are Euro size 50 (M) but I need a size 54 (L) in this Alpinestars jacket.

Decent summer jacket

I wanted a summer jacket that was compatible with my Tech Air 5 airbag vest.
It's nice - very comfy and rideknit material is very nice.
The main textile I think is quite thin for an AA rated jacket - I think has achieved AA rating only because of the rideknit in the arms.
The sizing is small - I needed and XL and I have never needed XL in any other brand.
Four stars because it only comes with level 1 nucleon flex armour at elbows and shoulders which are not confidence inspiring. I bought level 2.
There are also no waist, wrist or arm straps of any kind so the fit cannot be tailored at all.
