Oxford Continental MS Boots - Black

The delivery from Sportsbikeshop was very quick. The boots seem well made. As others have said, feel a little clumpy at first. I am sure they will break in quickly. Have not tried in the wet yet, but I'm a big fan of Oxford gear, so I'm sure they will be fine.

Good pair of boots might take some wearing in very stiff leather but hopefully will soften up in time. Haven't tried them on the bike yet

I found the soles of my old boots were worn due to having to walk about in them while touring so it was the chunky soles ghat caught my attention with these boots. They unzip on both sides of the leg which is just as well as the inner liner in a tight fit around the heel. Once on, they are very comfortable and truly waterproof as I discovered in a deep flood.
They appear to be excellent quality which I anticipate will make them a long lasting, key item of kit.

I brought these boots for winter riding, they are very well made, probably the heaviest boots I have ever bought, as I usually have sport boots. They have a lining boot fixed inside and with winter socks on make for a very snug fit (not uncomfortable). The quality of the leather and build looks great, I used for the first time around the Peak District on a wet day, my feet stayed completely dry, early days but very happy so far.

I normally have size 10, ordered size 11 as have wider feet, these fit perfectly. Room for thick sock but the boots are very warm so might not need them. Nice to be able to adjust them around the calf area with the Velcro.

Been wearing these daily, in the bloody rain, for a week now and still have dry feet. They are built sturdy and as a result are quite stiff but still comfy. The velcro is fierce but no doubt will ease up over time and I expect the stiff leather to do the same. I prefer it like this to supple leather that will be done in a few winters. Doing the outside zip up 1st until they soften will make life easier. Only 1 criticism - that there are no tabs on the zips to get a good hold of so have attached keyring loops to them so I can pull them up easier. Good boots.

Very confortable, dry and warm, nice feel of the bike even though they are sturdy.

These aren't the most elegant motorcycle footwear but they are up to the job for touring. Constructed with quality leather they should provide good protection and will inspire confidence.
Being short in the leg I was looking for boots with a substantial sole thickness and these certainly help in getting feet down and manoeuvring when sat on the bike.
With zips on both sides they are easy to get on and off and It's possible to do so with just the outer zip down.
I found that the top edge of the shin protector on the right boot dug into the shin the first time I wore them but they soon softened with wear and are now very comfortable.
I found the staff at Sportsbikeshop very helpful and understanding when I returned another pair of boots and exchanged them for the Oxfords. Good to know if you find you're not happy with a purchase.
If you're looking for a sturdy pair of touring boots I would certainly recommend these.

The quality, design and general fit are excellent, dual zips and velcro make fitting and removal so much easier.
Extremely good value.

Ive given 4 simply because they are newish so have not yet stood the test of time.
Excellent so far and completely dry after all day in the rain. I paid £111 for these as opposed to circa £275 for my usual Sidi Adventure boots.
The reason for the switch being that the Sidi always leak far too soon. i have 3 pairs all a bit worn and all leak.
At this price i can buy a pair each season if they last a few months but hoping theyll last two years.
I'll stick with Adventures when its dry and use these in the rain.
Very well made and protection looks good for a road boot.

I've reduced it down 1 star as you cannot do 0.5 purely from a design POV but the boot seems fine to use so far without the obligatory UK waterproof test so far...
My Spada Hurricanes had to be returned as the sole glue started to come away after 800 mile. They were really comfy in a 46 and I usually wear 44 in normal footwear.
These Oxford 45's fit very similar although may need a little more wearing in I think. I'm sure the fit will be lovely and supple in a few weeks.
From my perspective the zip on the outside that goes from sole to top should have the two leather flaps (or one large) not just the inside. My point being is that water ingress 'could' appear as that's the part of the foot not against the bike and perhaps more susceptible to rainwater? The inside zip only goes half way up but has two flaps with velcro.
Why not cover both zips fully or do what you did the other way around? Look at them and you'll see what I mean.
I'm sure there been plenty looked into for this at design stage by Oxford but seems a little back to front.
The other reason for these being purchased was the gear gator. It goes from sole across to the other side of the boot, not just a plate on the top. Because of this, gear up changes are now more precise and pre-engaged due to foot positioning.
Quality as usual is very nice from Oxford.
Hopefully these will last.

Very pleased with these boots the finish on them is excellent fit very well easy to put and good fit.

Now fully tested, 100% waterproof, bit stiff to start with, but soon softened up in the wet.
