Every time you put your hand in a glove, it should be passing the CE label that shows it's been tested as protective kit. We'll show you how to understand what it's telling you...
I bought these as a replacement for my 7 year old 4-season Held gloves.
The positives are that they are warm and kept my hands bone dry in torrential storms. The trick two-pocket system is good and you don't get any seams interfering with your fingertips. The gloves look well made and are great value when on sale.
The less positive is that they don't have the wrist protection of my precious pair, which is a significant omission. And the fingers are quite fat (I needed 2XL for finger length) which makes fine control very difficult for things like flasher and horn.
Still good gloves though.
Very warm for sure. Not tested yet on the rain, but I am sure they will be fine. I didn't give 5 stars only because they are a bit bulky (I think the 2 chambers require a bit more space) but I got used to it after 10min of riding. It doesn't affect operating the indicators, clutch etc. First I thought they may be too large for me basically, but when you wear them while riding you realise they are fine, and you have a bit less or more space depends on which chamber you put the palms to. Solid gloves, very good product for winter riding.
Afraid I have to agree with "don't expect miracles". The finger and thumb ends are a little bulky I have found for two operations; 1. indicator switch and moving my right hand in the offside (brake lever) handguard. These are things I will get used to. One thing I can't get right in my head is how these gloves are less effective at keeping the cold out than a pair I've had for donkeys years - even with heated grips (Guzzi grips though- so that's not saying much). Would I buy again? NO. Would I recommend? Doubtful
These gloves are great for autumn & winter riding, especially with heated grips. Waterproof so far.
As a Blood Bike rider I was looking for a decent set of gloves that work well in the cold and wet.
I have only had them for a couple of weeks but so far so good in a variety of autumn weather conditions.
I used them this morning when it was foggy and cold (circa 3 degrees) and they were excellent at keeping the cold and wet at bay.
Great price point - I would recommend them.
Early days, but these are well made gloves that seem like they will last well and protect you in case the worst happens.
I don't think they are particularly warm though, in either configuration, and I find them a bit bulky. Hopefully they'll bed in and give me more feel for the controls eventually.
I haven't yet tested them in heavy rain, so I can't comment on their waterproof capabilities.
Overall they are good but I'm glad I didn't pay full price.
These gloves replaced some older ones that I gave away.
I wanted some longer gloves to cover the cuffs on my leather jacket.
I ordered a medium size which are a good fit. I think if I had ordered a small they would have been too tight.
I haven't tested them in the rain yet, but they are comfortable and keep the cold and wind out.
A really good quality glove.
I would recommend these gloves.
These gloves have a real quality feel to them. I gave them 4 stars because I've only worn them once. However I'm expecting them to perform for many years.
Top service from SBS.
Very well made, excellent quality materials. Clear difference between the chambers (hot/cold). First thoughts are they'll be a great cool/wet day glove, ideal for winter but too bulky for summer. Cuff is quite long and can be a bit fiddly getting the second glove under jacket sleeve
The first pair of these received were faulty but sportsbikeshop sorted very quickly and were first class. Well done. These gloves are expensive but ooze quality from the fit to the soft leather feel. They feel comfortable in both chambers from the off. I tried the air n dry but preferred these as they are waterproof in both chambers plus in hot weather I'd sooner go for a separate proper vented glove. These go both over the sleeve and under my carlsbad jacket which is exactly what I wanted. Not tried in rain yet but they are goretex so I have every confidence and it's warranty backed anyway. Don't overlook these superb gloves.
Bought these to replace my old Twin I's, I love these twin chamber gloves and find they are good for both cold days and even in cooler summer days. The ability to use the outer chamber with heated grips means you get the benifit of the additional protection to the outer sides of your hands in really cold weather. And they seem to last, worth the money.
Nice soft leather and great two glove system .but, can feel the seams on certain fingers when on which is annoying especially considering the price
