John Doe Falcon Leather Boots - Black

I have very wide feet so ordered a 9.5 (usually a uk size 9) & they fit well. Quality seems good & they are very comfortable to wear. Can't comment on water tightness but bought them for summer so no issue for me. They feel like they'll last & i got the usual great service from Sportsbikeshop, can't fault the product or retailer.

I ride an R18 Classic which suffers from quite a lot of vibration through the foot plates. I usually wear Falco Rangers which are my favourite touring boots but they have poor vibration resistance which becomes annoying after an hour or so. Then I noticed the John Doe Falcon boots on the SBS website which claim to reduce vibration through the boot soles so I decided to give them a try. And they really do absorb vibration.
These new boots fitted perfectly from the onset but because I have rather thick ankles the laces were a tad short. New longer laces later and the problem solved.
I have ridden in these boots for a few hours now and they are already as comfortable and supportive as my current Ranger boots They are a little stiff around the ankle protection area but they should soften up with more use.
I don't know how water resistant the leather is on these boots so I have given the leather and gusseted tongue 2 good coatings of Duckwax as a precautionary measure.
These boots are quite stylish and even though mine are a size 12.5UK they don't look like huge clog hoppers.
Overall I am delighted with this purchase.
