Customers have praised the HJC helmet for its quality and comfort, particularly its snug fit and convenient modular design. Some have appreciated features like the smooth flip-front mechanism and adjustable sun visor. However, mixed experiences were shared, such as challenges with sizing and reports of excessive noise at higher speeds. A few mentioned issues with visor clips breaking. Overall, the helmet is favored for its versatile design and ease of incorporating communication systems. Customers generally recommend it but highlight the sizing nuances.

Tried the correct size helmet on from the displayed items in the showroom at Boston. Requested same item from stock, paid and we were on our way out to the food truck outside in no time at all. 50p for a proper coffee. Great value inside the shop and same outside from the cafe.
Go up a size. Tightens considerably when closed. Easy to operate, and sun visor goes all the way down, unlike my caberg that was short. Good value fast delivery.
Very well made ,nice quality feel to it. Helmet fits really well and very quiet. The action of the chin bar is silky smooth and very easy to operate. The large visor gives a really wide view and the pinlock works amazingly well. Love this Helmet.
A first class flip front helmet. Normally a large, but went one size up after reading reviews. A good move as the helmet tightens considerably when you close the front. Although reads as heavy didn't notice the weight even after a full day on the Bloodbike. Sena comms fitted easily. Pinlock included was a bonus as it saved me buying one. Liked the flip over as it allowed use as a jet helmet without the usual wind catching it in certain head positions and liked the fact that the visor automatically comes back down after you flip the front. Haven't tried adjusting the sun visor position as it was fine as supplied. Ordered it into my local store (Glasgow) and dropped in to try before buying it. Usual great service from Sportsbikeshop. I know some of the other dealers across Scotland are concerned that they may lose custom now SBS are here.
My budget was up to $340.00 and it had to be a modular helmet as this is my preferred style. I spent many hours reading online reviews of most of the helmets available, then narrowed it down to HJC brand based on price, good reviews, glasses grooves, speaker pockets and chose SBS based on my experience of the great service they offer.
My big concern with the brand choice was with the sizing that is mentioned on several reviews (but not all). I've read that SBS are great with this problem should you order online and are very helpful with returns however, whilst on a family visit to Preston I decided to visit the SBS store there. I was massively impressed that they were open on a Sunday, not many bike shops are and this gave me the chance to browse the great selection of helmets on display across all budgets, though ultimately I was there to try on the HJC i100. I've had some of the higher end brands before but couldn't justify the price.
I'm usually a medium size but straight away it was too tight. I tried on the large and it was a perfect fit and felt very comfortable. I wear glasses for reading Sat Nav and they fitted nicely too, no pressure where the arms sit. They also have speaker pockets built in for comm's units and this was an extra bonus as I like listening to music/sat nav instructions. All sizes were on display so there was no need to wait for any staff to be available. The helmet didn't feel too heavy and the functions of the modular helmet and drop down visor are simple to use. There are vents on the chin bar and top of the helmet which are also a good feature.
I was also impressed with the store. It was clean, tidy, well lit, had a great selection of motorcycle clothing, boots, gloves, luggage, accessories, cleaning products, etc and there were plenty of staff available too with the bonus of free parking.
The colour I wanted wasn't in stock at that store but I was told it could be delivered the next day by DPD so I went ahead and ordered the HJC i100 in white. It arrived by 12.30 the very next day and was well packaged. The helmet comes with a soft helmet bag and a pin lock visor and was well within budget, much cheaper than other places were advertising.
I fitted my comms unit and it fits well. I've not used the helmet yet on my bike due to Christmas festivities so can't comment on wind noise etc which is why I have given it four stars.
Great service overall from SBS and would definitely recommend them.
This appears to be a well made item with the superb dual homologated full face/open face chin bar option. We prefered it to the other equivalents. The mechanism just felt more sturdy.
The interior is plush however I am normally a 58 but the Medium is a 57-58 and was snug. The Large is a 59-60 and was like a loose bucket on my head. I bought the Medium but it didn't give much after a few sessions sat with it on in my lounge. I made sure not to remove any if the stickers etc as per the Sportsbikeshop returns policy. Unfortunately I had to take it back for a refund which was auctioned without any fuss at all. We bought the Medium in black for my wife and it fits like a glove but us yet to be used on the road. The review on that is to follow in late March 2025
Tried on various brands of helmets but found this one fitted the best for me plus it had everything that I needed ie can ride open face, visor can open just a notch for extra air, suits me just fine. Not tried for wind noise yet but haven't seen a review saying noisy.
Recently brought this helmet and found it perfect for touring. A great option for those that love riding open face or full face. I also have the Cardo Packtalk Edge, which fits in this helmet, perfectly, with no problems at all. The helmet fits snugly and is very comfortable.
Delivered on time as normal by Sportsbikeshop. Helmet feels quality and is really comfortable straight out of the box. Visor feels a little flimsy but the mechanism when flipping the chin section fully backwards is excellent. Overall pleased with the design, fit, and functionality of the helmet. The most important part of a review of any helmet should be about the protection and happily this has been tested - hence 4 stars
I purchased the HJC I-100 in Lorix Red as an upgrade helmet for commuting. So far I am very impressed with the helmet and the flip over system (something I need heading through security where I work), plus one with a good ECE rating. The helmet is comfortable although it is much tighter in full face face mode than open face (although it should break in a little), so ensure you buy the right size for you, preferably try one on if you can. The helmet comes with a free pinlock lens, I'm a huge fan of these and always have them fitted so it's an added bonus. I have added an aftermarket comms system (HJC is also available), this fitted with no issues whatsoever, the usual groves are present within the helmet. I would recommend this helmet, hopefully the flip over system has good longevity.
I've had this helmet 3 months now and like the helmet..,it's functions and it's comfort.but.....the visor...the small clips that hold the visor in keep breaking, 1st time hjc replaced it, then when I lifted the visor up it came out of the clips so i was left with the visor hanging off my helmet so it sent back for repair and 1 week later I'm on holiday and the other side clip has snapped off, will have to wait till I get home to find out what happens next so knowing what I know now I would look at something else
I have tried various brands but feel HJC fit my head like as it should, snug without being tight. they should. I find the visor aperture is right, allowing plenty of vision when making a lifesaver before deviating, without having to twist the head around. The recesses for the HJC headphones and microphone are all well placed and even though it's a new helmet, nothing causes the ears to be uncomfortable until it's all bedded in. Cheek pads fit well and not too tight. I would recommend these helmets.

Today HJC helmets are available in every corner of the globe and it's now the world's biggest helmet brand, producing more motorcycle helmets than any other marque. The range now encompasses the full spectrum of helmet types, with the widest selection of graphics, materials, and price points.
