So many under gloves fail to retain heat even under winter goretex outers, I know as I've tried most of them. These however seem different, they have an insulating layer beneath the wind protection outer and a good solid cuff strap. They are thicker than most others I've tried but not right under my medium Dianese scouts. To test them properly I'll need to wait for next winter now but so far they seem very likely an improvement on the runs I've made since buying. I ordered a small size to ensure they would fit under the outers, small felt mediumish and fit perfectly.

These are excellent waterproof trousers. I have had them in several downpour's now and haven't got wet once. I ordered a size up from my normal and these with the gore tex liner in are rather snug but I can live with it others may not. On the sportsbikeshop website for these trousers it lists thermal as a trouser feature there is no thermal layer in the trousers I have I think just a typo as on the ixs website no thermal liner is mentioned so these may not be good for winter time riding.
