Daytona M-Star Gore-Tex - Black

Have made a huge difference with a full inch added to my leg length. This adds a huge amount of confidence when touring with my better half on our GS 1250

Haven't worn these in the wet yet, but have no doubt they will perform as expected, being Gortex lined . They look and feel like a quality product and due to the slightly thicker sole and raised heel area inside the boot, they do what I bought them for, which is to get my heels down on my GSA. Other people have commented on the long zip being difficult to close. I found that if you stand whilst closing the zip, allowing the two sides to come together that it works fine. I have, however, got a couple of issues which are not the boots fault. Firstly they have quite a high instep/arch, which my right foot especially doesn't like. I think this is more to do with me having dropped arches and, hopefully, I will become more accustomed to it. The other is also quite annoying in that I commute to work wearing good sturdy work boots and I found that having adjusted the gear lever to accommodate the thicker sole of the Daytona boot that it then feels really awkward with my work boots. The only reason I bought the Daytona's was for an added feeling of security, at junctions etc, when I have a pillion and luggage. I'm sure I'll work something out. Also, as a foot note, the service from the Sportsbikeshop was as always first class.

Very good fit. Excellent quality, strong zips and great protection. Very comfortable to wear and the extra height really helps with the Adventure bikes.

Only recently had the boots so cant give a long term review. I have found them very, very comfortable from the start. they make a significant difference in your height when on a bike. the zips were on stiff when initially putting them on but after 2/3 occasions they work great.

The internal 'up lift' is a great help to this short in the leg rider.

If you are looking for additional height then these boots are the "dogs bo**ocks"! Being of a certain height having the additional 2.5cm is a real plus with a R1250GS. Once fitted you are not aware of the elevated height which makes use of the bike far easier,

Really well made boots with double zip making it easier to put o extra height helps although you might have to adjust gear and brake levers

Hi, normally sportsbikeshop asks for feedback after 3 weeks and if i had done that i would have given 5 stars. The quality of the boot is excellent and the additional sole depth really made a difference to my confidence as i can flat foot. However after owning for 5 months and riding for about 4 I am disappointed with this purchase. I initially was riding an R1250RT then later a K1600GT neither of them small bikes. The problem is the same on both. The thicker sole makes it difficult to gear shift. It is just an effort to get your foot under the gear lever and change gear. I have solved the problem with buying lower pegs however in the meantime the shifter pad on the boot has disintegrated as I repeatedly caught it on the lever. I naively thought I had a warranty claim as I had not owned the boots very long however this was declined. So much for Daytona standing by their products? The bottomline is these boots have a design fault. The gear shifter pad should wrap around towards the sole more. Where it is placed makes no sense considering the thicker sole makes shifting more difficult for all bikes. These are expensive boots and I regret buying them.

Changed from Harley Superlow to BMW RT. Needed a tad more length on my 29" leg. These boots did the trick.
Well made. Main zip was a tad difficult to zip up initial; they are working fine now after a little use. Not tried them in the rain yet though. All round excellent, if a tad expensive.

I have a 30" inseam and after having a moment on my S1000XR at a standstill, loose gravel, I decided enough was enough. Seen numerous reviews about these boots and was a bit sceptical about them but I needed to do something rather than change my bike to suit my stature.
The price for them had always been an issue over the years for me and when SBS price matched this pair for me I bit the bullet and bought them.
I'm a size 8 and the size 41 was a perfect fit for me. Ultra comfy straight out of the box.
Best of all I can now flat foot my S1000XR and what a difference it makes when you roll to a stop. I only wish I had bought them when they first came out when I had my Triumph Explorer.
Overall a well made, comfy quality product that gives back the confidence of flat footing taller bikes for the shorter leg brigade. I have no hesitation in recommending these boots.

Good boots, really well made and great quality. I moved from a pair of alpine stars to these as buying a new bike and liked the idea of the added height.

One thing to note is the thickness of the toe and with the added height at the heel I needed to lift the gear lever to be able to shift up as well as the rear break lever.

Great boots though and great quality. These were a good price and I'm pleased with the purchase. A must for anyone ahem vertically challenged should we say.

These are fabulous boots, bought size 44 coz that's my shoe size and they fit perfectly. Was worried that they would feel clumpy and odd because of the built up inside, but they are perfectly fine, super comfortable and exceptionally good quality. Made in Germany,
what do you expect? Having the extra bit of height lets me put both my feet flat down where before I was always on my toes and stretching. I'm 5 feet 9 and ride a GS Adventure, now feel much more planted, very happy. No issues whatsoever with the zips, it's just a zip FFS! Hold both sides together ish and pull in the direction of the curve, simple. Bet you would soon figure it out if it was a bra strap! Sort yourselves out, it's not the zip, it's you, you imbecile!
Totally waterproof, wore them today in very heavy rain for about 4 hours, completely dry feet. Buy these, they are brilliant and you will love them every time you put them on.

I bought these rather than lowering my bike & upsetting the handling. Although reasonably comfortable, they rub my ankles badly so much so that I need to bandage my ankles and ach time I ride! I hope, in time, they will become as comfortable as my beloved Alpinestars.

Expensive but you can tell you are getting quality which will last.
