Shark Spartan GT Pro Carbon - Kultram Carbon / Black / Red

This is the 3rd shark helmet I have owned, originally attracted by the sun visor but learned to love the build quality, this one is no exception and so comfortable

Excellent service again from SBS! ordered a number of helmets to try on the same day and find the right one. Looking back over my riding years I've generally bought one every 5 years. Started with AGV, migrated to Arai, moved to Shoei and then to this Shark. Looking for a helmet with integrated sun visor then this is excellent. Visibility of the visor is great and the sun visor coverage is also great. I had tried helmets with sun visors that were too small to be useful. The Shark is priced lower than I had spent before on my previous Shoei GT Air, I wanted something that would fit my Cardo intercom... Tick, I wanted a d ring chin strap... tick... I wanted it to be comfortable... tick tick.... the SBS guarantee, try on the helmet at home for an hour our so, as long as you don't remove the visor stickers they will still exchange the helmet for something that suits you better. Shark fits me well, its quieter than my previous Shoei GT Air, It doesn't cause my earplugs to work loose, looks and feels great. The only thing I need to get used to is the EC 2206 requirement all visors click shut.... Its not just shark, all the 2206 helmets have to do it

No longer able to justify spending mega money on a helmet, I was looking for quality at an affordable price, the Shark Spartan GT gave me fit/comfort (very important to me) quality (fit and finish are excellent) and style, highly recommended. For context some info about myself, I have been riding three years and have a Shark Evo one 2 a Shoei Glamster and Scorpion open face. I have a touring bike with tall screen and naked bike.

I was in the market for a new full face helmet and it needed to have a drop down visor. I was lucky enough not to be budget constrained so started looking at Shoei and Schuberth flip helmets but they did not fit well. The Spartan was a snug fit. It feels light on and compared to my other helmets it's much quieter from wind and hearing the engine perspective. The visor stays in place if you have it partially opened, it's a little fiddly to open when in locked position. The neck roll is a snug fit and it doesn't let air in like my other helmets so feels hot. Ventilation with the visor down doesn't feel much at all and you cannot feel any on you face when front vent open, the top vent you can feel on your head. It looks good and feels well built. The other helmet it was between was the HJC RPHA 71 but I liked the carbon finish on this one.

It's a very nice helmet that I can wear for long periods of time. As per other reviews the visor does whistle when up and riding with a bit of speed, but it's not unbearable. The internal sun visor comes down nice a low so I don't get dazzled by any light creeping in underneath it.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Real Carbon Fibre so nice and light. There is also some small degree of flexibility in the shell to accommodate head shapes after some wear. This helmet has some key elements that make it a great choice. Some wind noise but it is front and rear vented and has a drop down sun visor slide to the rear which will effect the air flow.
Accurate sizing. Good ventilation. Very comfortable. Easily serviceable.

Great helmet. Tried on a few Shark helmets at local stores but couldn't find the right one. Ordered through Sportsbikeshop and am super happy with the helmet. 1st time using it was a 160 mile trip and the weather was terrible. Helmet excellent, a bit tight to get on as XL but I'm sure this will improve with use. Once on a great fit and the helmet feels great quality for the cost.

Comfortable, lightweight, and all the features I'm looking for on a touring helmet.

Good quality lid. Looks good and fits well after some wearing in. Only down sides for me is the top vent don't work as well as my old RPHA 70, but the safety rating is better. Other thing that annoyed me to start with is when riding with the visor open you can hear it whistle in the wind.

I recently did a 220 mile round trip. The temperature at times was as low as 1° at the end of April! I didn't get any cold draughts though & found the helmet very comfortable & snug. I can't comment on the vents yet, it may get warm enough to try them. This helmet is nicely finished, the visor is excellent & stays slightly open (if required) even at speed. It is also very easy to remove (unlike an Arai). This is not a cheap helmet & it could be argued that Shoei & Arai are slightly better finished. But, the helmet is light, comfortable & easy to use. I am very pleased with it.

My glasses are easy to fit, I removed the breath guard as all it did was push my breath onto my glasses, but I have to do this with all my lids.

True to measure and snug fit, great finish on the carbon fibre, looks amazing. Good amount of ventilation through the helmet vents and flawless vision through the vz300 visor and pinlock 120 with no fogging and the same for the blue tint internal sun visor, also great peripheral vision. Small whistle through the visor lock hole at 20-30 mph but only when open. Wind noise is minimal through this helmet when riding a sports bike but defiantly less noisy than my caberg. Changing both the external and sun visors is fast and effortless, adjusting the air flow is simple. There is a noticeable weight difference but I lost that with the addition of a comms and camera stuck on. This is a very comfortable helmet and a great price at Sportsbikeshop.

Incredibly noisy, even at low speeds, but fits my head well. My glasses fog up wearing this helmet too, although visor is fine. I wouldn't have another.
