Strong helmet

Needed a helmet to tour with instead of my sports helmet. Had a few features in mind that I wanted in a new lid, this ticks all the boxes, flip up, internal sun visor, wide view vision and a double D ring, a lot of flip face helmets have a racket style clasp which I find chunky and uncomfortable. Ventilation is quite good but lacks in adjustability. Visor is quick and simple to swap and includes a pin lock. Wind noise is acceptable for the price range, my other lid is an arai rx7v and it would be unfair to compare the two given the arai is twice as expensive

The Darksome represents Simpson's expression of modernisation of an icon. This flip-up reminds of the 70's unique Simpson design, but noise reduction and aerodynamics have been successfully improved. The shell features Maxx -3C tricomposite technology. The EPS hosts the wide channels of the VKS venting system, which provides the right airflow at any adjustment. The enlarged field of view provides a limitless vertical and peripheral vision; Pinlock MaxVision lenses are included in the box and the drop-down sun visor covers the whole field of view.
