Shoei Neotec 3 - Grasp TC1

I've owned this helmet for a couple of weeks now, I have a thing with helmets, as this is my 11th in my collection which includes Aria RX7, HJC,Shark etc etc, this however is head and shoulders above them all for comfort, practicality, and above all, quietness and stability. I have also fitted the Cardo packtalk which has fitted fine.
If you are thinking of making the purchase you won't regret it.

Having had full face helmets for 20-years+ I was very sceptical about moving to a flip up. I shouldn't have been. Moving from a Shoei GT air, I am amazed at how quiet the Neotec is. Additionally, the flip up is incredibly useful in slow moving traffic or for manoeuvring the motorcycle in tight spaces where vision is important. Extremely high quality product that just oozes outstanding build quality. In conjunction with the pinlock system, the visor literally never fogs up even in colder temperatures. Getting used to the visor opening being central was challenging, but more because I've never had this system before.

Excellent quality & much improved helmet to replace my aging Neotec 1. Love the rich colours too. I was able to fit my Cardo packtalk using the metal bracket supplied by Cardo & the speakers & wiring fitted in the recesses perfectly.

Had been looking at a long overdue replacement lid for my Schuberth C3. Visited the new Sportsbikeshop in Glasgow and received incredible service. Was able to try on a number of different helmets and got advice/guidance from the staff member there. After settling on this helmet, we were able to try out different combinations of M & L helmets with thicker/thinner pad combinations to get a perfect fit. I was really pleased they offered this service.

The helmet is great, feels super premium and is really comfortable.
The air vents work really well and you get a really nice air flow inside the helmet. It's also really quiet, (I had thought my previous helmet was quiet) but this is a noticeable improvement and almost don't hear any engine noise.

The shark evowas my previous helmet. We went to tho store to look at helmets. One of the staff was picked to assist. I tried 5 helmets on. This was 30 minutes before closing. Tried shark, Schuberth and SHOEI Neotec 3 which won the deal for me.. many thanks Birmingham store. The neotec was so comfortable in all area's. The padding was way better . There is less wind noise than the shark, riding the same bike and route . A Brilliant service by the team. Thank you

I purchased this helmet to replace an ageing Arai Quantum full face helmet and have been delighted with the Shoei. The fit is perfect and the reduction in wind noise compared with the Arai is remarkable. Used by the Police, so it can't be more highly recommended than that.
Expensive, yes, but well worth the expense.

A very typical Shoei product. Well made and fits great.
I upgraded from the 2 and i can see improvements in the ventilation and noise.

This is the best and most comfortable helmet ever and very light and it has a large veiwing angle for your life savers 5stars

Schuberth C3 needed replacing and I wanted another flip. I had hoped for the C5, but had partially installed comms which required another expense to be compatible. Also the warranty would be void if I took the speakers out to install my current intercom. So, that was off the table (get your act together Schuberth). The Shoei size S fitted well. The M was too loose. I wore it for about 2 hours, 20 mins at a time and it was fine. However after 30 minutes it caused a significant pain along the right temple making it unusable. Sportsbikeshop were helpful, arranged for the thinner head liner (5mm). This has made it feel less comfortable due to less padding. Will have to see if it beds in. Good quality helmet, flip latching very easy, visor could be darker and lower. Ventilation excellent. Lighter than the C3 but overall not as comfortable.

Finally went for the neotec 3 after many hours thought and my old neotec after many years use desperately needed replacing, so glad I did what a superb crash helmet, no it's not cheap but I have two arms and legs I've only got one head. So if you can stretch to it go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My first flip front helmet, really impressed with quality and quietness. I now wear glasses to ride and this type of helmet makes life so much easier.
