It really is plug and play with this trickle charger. It also has a very long cable which is appreciated, makes positioning the charger a good deal easier as well. Helpful lights to cover various battery states is the icing on the cake too.
Purchased this charger favouring it over others on the market because of its function to restore and maintain lead acid battery on a recently acquired 4 year old triumph
The product is working true to the manufacturer claims
OptiMate 3 Battery Optimiser Review
I recently purchased the OptiMate 3 Battery Optimiser from Sportsbike Shop, and I couldn't be happier with the product or the service I received. This battery optimiser is a must-have for anyone looking to maintain their bike's battery in peak condition, especially during periods of infrequent use.
The OptiMate 3 is impressively easy to set up and use, with clear instructions that make it accessible even for those new to battery maintenance. It's evident that OptiMate prioritizes quality and reliability in their products. The optimiser quickly diagnosed and revived my motorcycle's battery, and its ability to maintain the charge without overcharging gives me peace of mind. It's compact, efficient, and incredibly robust—perfect for long-term use.
Equally impressive was the service provided by Sportsbike Shop. The item was competitively priced, dispatched quickly, and arrived well-packaged. Their customer service is top-notch, reflecting the professionalism and dedication of the company.
Overall, I highly recommend the OptiMate 3 for anyone needing a dependable battery optimiser and Sportsbike Shop as the perfect retailer to purchase from. Fantastic product and outstanding service!
All good
Feels and looks a quality product should give many years of use, great price and service from SBS.
I have three bikes and I have these TecMate chargers on all of them now. This last one was bought because of the failure of a charger which wasn't a TecMate. These chargers feel solidly made. The casing is of robust plastic. The supplied wiring which allows crocodile connection to a battery or the dedicated quick attachment also has a quality feel. The charging information which is by lights is very clear. My experience is that they are reliable and take away the worry about the state of your battery. Quality and worth the money.
Top service from SBS as always. Easy to install. Peace of mind now the bike is not being used as much. Great value.
Bought one of these to replace my BMW Canbus Optimate 4, which had failed after 3 years. Much easier to use especially after fitting the direct connections to battery on BMW and Yamaha bikes. Just plug in and forget - works perfectly without need to mess about changing programmes.
Really simple to use and set up. Great way to keep your battery topped up when you're not going to use the bike for a while.
Bought this one to replace an older model thinking it was not maintaining the battery correctly, turns out I had a faulty battery on a new bike.
Excellent product and service from SBS as per usual
Very easy to set up and works well. I appreciate the weatherproof permanent connector, I can charge my bike's battery without removing the seat. The display/UI may not be super intuitive, but the instruction manual is clear and provides a good explanation to what the various lights mean.
First class bit of kit does exactly what it says. Keeps the battery in tip top condition.
Bought this to replace an old Optimate 3 charger which was taking longer and longer to show the batteries being fully charged (it is getting on for 15 years old so it's done its bit!). The new one got the batteries in all five of my bikes up to full charge withing 24 hours! Great stuff and I hope it lasts as long as the old one.
I bought a TechMate OptiMate battery optimiser following a recommendation from a friend. The battery on my bike initially seemed okay but sometimes it sounded if it was struggling to turn the engine over. When I used my battery optimiser it picked up a deep discharge of the battery so had to dis connect the battery from the bike to continue charging. The battery now has a full charge and is operating perfectly. Also Sportsbikeshop are offering this model for a great price.
I was using the Oxford Oximiser to keep the batteries charged on my bikes. While they worked well I found the connectors flimsy. A couple of them fell apart on my hands & when connecting after a late ride out was a bit fiddly getting the connections lined up correctly. Then I bought a TecMate Optimate and I find they are a bit easier to connect and have solid connection, using the SAE connectors. So far so good
I was thinking of going for a cheaper battery charger but for just that little bit more, this is perfect. Easy to understand instructions and a doddle to fit, it keeps the battery in tiptop condition. Does everything you want for your bike to start on the button.
Quality product to keep battery in tip top condition.
Easy to use and provides peace of mind that battery will not lose charge between rides or long lay offs.
Well packaged and quickly delivered by SPORTSBIKESHOP
Very competitive price, if you are looking for unit that you just plug in and leave it then this is the one. Once connected up to the bike battery very easy then to connect when the the bike is not in use. Great product!
Great product
