Excellent Value
15 November 2024 by Jon E
They aren't the most expensive and fit is a little agricultural. But of you're a little heft like me they are very comfortable, almost totally windproof. and feel like they would last well Great for spring or summer riding.

Good but armour lets them down
30 April 2024 by Duncan P
Good quality well-made trousers, but the only problem for me was that the knee armour was uncomfortable after 10 minutes on the bike and left me with sore red marks on my knees! Hip armour is ridiculously obtrusive. Have replaced both with ghost armour so paying another 40 odd quid.

Not great
14 January 2024 by Paul S
The good news, these are cheap and the pockets are quite nice. The material is thick and the stitching is good.

The cut is baggy bordering on shapeless. The knee armour is thick and not adjustable. If they are in the right position when you walk, they are almost invisible, if they are in the wrong position, walking becomes difficult. They are likely to be in the wrong position because the material has absolutely no stretch so when you bend your knee or your hip (like when you sit on a bike) the thickness of the knee pads means that material gets strained on your thigh and pulled down off your a*se. This is exaggerated every time you put your foot down at a stop. Not pleasant.

The hip armour is only level 1 but is thick and uncomfortable and makes sitting or walking uncomfortable. Again, the lack of any give or stretch in the material means it pulls it tight to the point of discomfort so you will almost definitely replace or remove it.

I bought these to replace a cheaper pair of Bikers Gear that are much more comfortable but not as protective. I will have to keep looking, there must be better options out there.

Excellent product. Excellent value.
12 January 2024 by Richard S
Bought two pairs for work as they are smart enough to pass our dress code. They're comfortable and I don't find the protection intrusive. I also have 2 pairs of Oxford jeans that are equally good. I cannot recommend Oxford highly enough.

An alternative to denim
16 June 2023 by John M
This chinos are great for hotter weather and better than denim jeans. They're well made, comfortable with all the protection you need. Highly recommend.

Very smart
09 June 2023 by JA
Very smart trousers with good level of armour. Armour inconspicuous so ideal to use as smarter trousers for office if necessary. Material is heavy duty but not bulky.
Feels nice to wear. Ankle material is a little tight so trying to fit them over motorbike boots would be challenging unless you are wearing short boots.

Look Good
08 June 2023 by Ivor M
Good looking chinos which seem well made.. Nice alternative to denim riding jeans. My wife likes the look of them on me but maybe she was just being kind to me...
Fit is true to size... I am 32 waist in normal jeans and 32 was good fit so no need to size up to take account of the armour.
A couple of niggles/things to be aware of....
1. These are quite heavy weight so don't expect them to be light and airy. I guess in order to meet the safety rating they must be heavy weight.
2. The armour is quite heavy duty at the hips and knees and you can feel it so it's a little intrusive
3. These only come in regular length 32" inseam. I usually wear 34"in jeans. The length is actually OK for me when not on the bike buy once sitting on the bike they do come up a bit short. I will probably wear with a pair of my longer boots so won't be an issue. Would be good if Oxford offered long (and perhaps short) leg lengths.

Overall, I am pleased with these. I find Oxford gear to be good quality for the price.

I didn't know these were a thing!!

These trousers have saved me getting changed for work! With a no jeans policy in the office I had to change when taking the bike but no longer!
These are comfy to wear all day and smart enough for the office!
Great product and there's a second pair going on the Christmas list!
