Daytona Lady Star Pro Gore-Tex Boots - Black

Being a short rider and struggling a little with a convincing partial foot down, I avoided all recommendations from fellow riders to go buy a pair of these Daytonas. Having tried various other boots and a couple of unnerving drops and plenty of near drops, I began focusing on other people's reviews of these boots. So with nothing to lose apart from the panic and dread that was beginning to spoil my rides, I reserved a TBYB at SBS Harlow. With plenty of sceptiscm I went and tried the boots on and immediately noticed how comfortable they felt straight out of the box. No need to break any stiff leather in. Zips were a lot easier to fasten straight away unlike my rst tractech evos that I had worn for 6 months! Only by actually sitting on my bike wearing these Daytonas was I going to know whether they were the boot for me. So I purchased them to go home and see if they gave me the leg length I needed to feel more confident on the bike.
All I can say is I wished I had listened a long time ago to other riders and bought a pair. I haven't had a problem gear shifting with them and now I can easily get both feet down or one foot down without having to scooch my derriere over to one side. The adjustable calf at the rear of the boot is brilliant! Absolutely genius in design all round. Getting that extra bit of height i find manoeuvring the bike while off it a lot easier too because I'm higher over it. These are expensive boots but in my mind, worth every penny for how they have enhanced my ride. I have heard of women who have.owned previous models of this boot for 10yrs or so. Well I plan to have mine just as long! And I can't finish this review without mentioning the usual efficient first class service from SBS.

Fab stiff leather boots.
Bit too stiff for me, even though they were a better height that gives a 3.5 cm lift.
Am gonna try a different style and go a size up and get height insoles. They are goretex too, can't say it works as never used them outside. Just walked in house and couldn't get on with them.
You can see they are quality boots though. Worth a try.

The hidden internal heel gave me the extra height I needed to touch the floor with more of my foot. This gave me more confidence in the bike knowing I had a more planted foot especially on uneven roads.
The quality of the product was also very impressive
