Schuberth C5 - Fluo Yellow

Having worn a C3 for the last few years I found the C5 a much better fit and a lot quieter. I would say the tinted drop down visor is also of a better quality. I opted to fit a Cardo Edge intercom which was easy enough to do. My C3 had a Sena intercom and I find the new combination much better. I have only been on a few short day trips to date but am very happy so far.

Comfortable and quiet with good vision out. The sun visor comes higher up the nose than expected but suspect that would be good for spectacle wearers. It’s quite light in standard trim without accessories. Chin fixing mec’ is very easy to use. Great for the price.

The Schuberth C5 is hands down the best helmet I’ve owned. Incredibly quiet, supremely comfortable, and well-ventilated, it makes long rides a pleasure. The flip-front mechanism is smooth, and the Concrete Grey finish looks sleek and modern.

I’ve added the Sena comms system, and it integrates flawlessly—crystal-clear audio for music, navigation, and calls, even at speed.

If you want a premium modular helmet that delivers on comfort, quietness, and tech integration, the C5 is worth every penny.

Take's a while to bed in, one part of lining near mic Connector keeps unclipping. Wind noise not as quiet as I was expecting .

Very comfy straight out of the box, good level of features and a great price for a premium helmet.

The sun shield fogs in all weather conditions making it useless and dangerous.

The pin lock visor doesn't seal and so the main helmet visor also fogs constantly. Helmet sent back to Schuberth and returned with the same problem.

The filter for the mouth vent is simply pushed in place and has nothing to secure it from falling out.

Replacement visors are over priced.


The shell size is good and it's reasonably quiet but the other problems make it a hard helmet to love. I'll try a Neotech next.

What a excellent piece of kit.
Very comfortable and great finish helmet. Everything works so smoothly and do the job perfectly. Previously had a HJC RPHA 90s but got some issues with closing mechanism. Schubert is game changer for me. Highly recommend.

Just replaced my old Shoei due to age. Wanted a flip front with sunshade, Schuberth ticks those boxes nicely. Also a lot quieter than either of my full face lids, (the Shoei and a HJC), another tick.
Quality is as you would expect at both the price point and brand. Padding is great, not too thick that it squeezes the cheeks in. The fit also seems to be fairly non-specific, meaning it would probably fit both shaped heads, no need to worry if you're an Arai or a Shoei shaped head. There are also plenty of replacement parts available.
Don't know what else to say, the things I look for in a lid, noise comfort, quality… all ticked. No compromises. Very Happy, would gladly of paid full price but SBS had a sale on!! Great service from the team at Boston, as always.

Once I had fitted the thicker side and rear pads the fit was transformed for the better. Now it feels every bit as high quality as my Shoei and Arai lids.

Can't beat Schubert for quality style and fit. This is my 3rd helmet from SCHUBERTH in last 18 years. I've owned cheaper helmets but non compare especially when touring.

Normally a Shoei head, when I needed a new lid I tried on this one after the Shoei Neotec. I found this one to be much more comfortable and seems lighter. Equally as well made and feels like it will work. Yet to really try on long ride or in wet conditions to see if pinlock works and not yet fitted comms. But definitely quality and well made helmet.
