Schuberth C5 - Fluo Yellow

The previous reviews talked about a trickle of water getting in and running down the inside of the visor! It is far worse than that. Not a helmet to get if you consider any adventure in the rain. Not only does the rain get in but because the pinlock is not a good fit ( however hard you try to find the right position there is always a gap somewhere) the condensation gets between and you can't get rid off!! Not the safest or calming of experience!!
However if you want a sunny day helmet then this should be okay.
Expensive for a helmet that you can't use ever? Even with the discount.

a little bit over my origonal budget but glad i parted with the extra. replaces an AGV witch served me well but the Schuberth is a joy and so quiet baught the SC2 intercom which isnt quite as simple as people make out but its working now great service from SBS although £200 cheaper on their own website ? rather than from the shop?. all in a good deal on an excellent Helmet

Bought this for my Wife after she tried on my one & liked it.
We're both converts from Shoei flip lids & feel that the Schuberth is more comfortable, we always had a bit of ear pain with the Shoeis.
The Schuberth is definitely better when riding with it flipped up, far less buffeting than with the Multitec.
We're old school & use Autocom intercoms & it was pretty easy to strip out the pre fitted Bluetooth set up.
We're in our fifth decade of riding motorbikes & this is undoubtedly the best lid we've had so far.
Thoroughly recommended.

I've used Schubert and SHOEI helmets in the past and have been very pleased with both makes. However, to get the colourway you want can be pretty expensive, For me the Neotec feels slightly more luxurious but the colour I wanted (which will be released this month) is a whopping £270 more expensive than the discounted price of £410 I paid for this helmet. There's definitely not that much difference between the two helmets so I went with the Schubert. As said, not quite as luxurious but I super helmet all the same and a very trustworthy supplier ie The SPORTSBIKESHOP. I've only worn it once up to now, but it was lovely and quiet, warm snug and every moving part feels quality.

Replaces an E1 which replaced a C3.
Fit is good but I think just a little tighter than previous Schuberth Larges on my head?
Best airflow of any helmet I have owned.
Visor and field fo vision superb.
Only picked the white and orange colour as it was on offer on SBS - I dont have a KTM!
Normal price point is too high and I think a lot of helmets/brands are now overpriced for what you get.
Bought together with the SC2 comms kit which takes about 5 mins to fit. Integrates perfectly.
Hope this C5 gives as good service and longevity as my previous Schuberth helmets

Don't get me wrong, at rrp it's a lot of dosh for a helmet, but on offer, and coming from a C3pro I had to try this. The fit suits my head, the wider field of view is great, and really quiet (for me better than the C3pro). With the SC2 comms it's a great combination. Hoping for another 5 years of biking service.

Brought this due to the good reviews. It is a very comfortable and protective helmet that I would highly recommend.

I had been researching the C5 for a little while and when the price dropped £170, I bought one.
First impressions were good. The helmet had a quality feel to it and when trying it on in the store my head was in a good place. After using the helmet for a couple of weeks now in mainly good wether I can happily report that I'm very pleased with my purchase. The helmet is very quiet compared to my previous helmet and the ventilation on the top is really effective. Lovely cooling air streams down over your bonce. The main reasons I have marked it down are that even with the supplied Pinlock inserted and the visor fully closed you get a small amount of condensation at the bottom of the visor. I can put up with that but what I can't put up with is that when you crack the visor open a little, that condensation is right in my eyeline, so I have to nearly fully open the visor.
I'll have to see how I get on during the colder months.
I think I would have a bit more miffed if I had paid full price.

Got this C5 after 2 previous C3's. This new helmet is much quieter than the C3 and has better ventilation so that I can ride with visor shut for the first time. Helmet size is the same as the C3. Visor closing mechanism is more positive than the C3. Even with the excellent SBS 30% discount it is not a cheap lid but worth every penny. I crashed in a C3 in 2017, head butting a car at 30mph and the C3 saved my life.

I wanted a new premium helmet and with try before you buy and the very knowledgeable team in Birmingham I'm glad I came to Sportsbike Shop. Not only have I got a great fitting new helmet but also upgraded my intercom system which was fitted for me free of charge in very little time and far more efficiency than I could have done. Buying both also gets an additional discount which I wasn't expecting. Great job everyone at the store.

Best helmet I've ever owned. Nice fit and will improve the more I wear it in. Super quiet. Shame the coms system lets it down.

Ordered a C5, the medium was just a bit too large, disappointed that despite I had to pay the return postage as I live at the top of Scotland. I think that over a certain value returns should be free. The replacement fits fine.

Only 4* at the moment as only had the helmet a short while. It replaces a C3 that I had for several years. The C3 has been excellent and I expect the C5 to be as good.
Fit is good and it is nice and quiet as expected. Ventilation is the best of any helmet I have owned.
About to do 1500 miles around Germany and Holland so we will see how we go.

Tried this helmet and the Shoei Neotec 3, both excellent quality and good fit but the Schuberth was on special offer saving me nearly £200.
Now done about 1,000 miles with it confirming l made the right choice.
Very comfortable after several hours continuous wear plus very quiet.
Fitted my own "cheap" intercom and could hear it clearly even with custom ear plugs.
