(NB: these are the only heated gloves I've tried, so I can't compare them to any others.) That said, on chilly days they make a world of difference. Comfortable gloves with good battery life, and they seem to be well armoured. Single button control is easy to use, and you can see the status at a glance with the LEDs. Downsides: hard to find spare batteries, almost impossible to find the wiring harness if you want the option to connect them to your bike (hint hint, SBS!), but neither of those is a deal breaker for me.

The HG3 Evo Heated Waterproof is an entry-level style in Five's heated glove range. It nevertheless enjoys the benefits of the same heating technology and same fundamentals as the higher-end styles, such as PrimaLoft® thermal insulation, 5_DRYTECH™ weatherproof, breathable membrane, Dual Control adjustment system, and connectivity, but its simplified outer construction, which is fully synthetic, keeps its price reasonable.
The HG3 Evo features all the safety (Ergo Protech™ protective shells) and comfort (Touchscreen, Clear Vision Pad™, etc.) elements that are typical of Five gloves.
So, you may choose the HG3 Evo because it's financially attractive, or because it resonates with your values, since no elements of animal origin have been used in its composition, or for both reasons!
The hand is the most complex part of the human body, and also the hardest to protect. It contains the highest number of bones, joints, ligaments, and nerve endings in such a limited space, and it's because of this that Five focus solely on the development of motorcycle gloves. Five base their development on one simple principle; you can't design a pair of gloves like you design an item of clothing, it just isn't the same thing. When you're on a bike, the glove isn't merely an accessory, it's the link between the rider and the machine. Whether you're overtaking, braking as you reach a bend, or making sure you get every last bit of juice from your motorbike's engine, it's responsible for so many decisions that can influence both performance and safety. Put simply, Five's sole aim is to develop and produce the most advanced motorcycle gloves on the market, using cutting-edge technology and drawing on their wealth of racing experience.
