Cheap jacket but not cheap quality
21 November 2024 by Stephen W
I bought this jacket to replace my Alpinestars winter jacket, have used it in 3deg weather and also moderate rain showers, jacket is warm in the cold weather, no water ingress as yet, not been out in monsoon weather yet but I suspect it will hold up well.

Good jacket

Not a brand I know much about other than having had a pair of their trousers for many years which proved very reliable. Jacket good and generous fit possibly could even take a size less.

Great Commuter jacket
23 September 2024 by Anonymous
I bought this based on reviews and value. I rarely add reviews but felt I should as this jacket has so far proved warm, dry and very effective in my daily commute of 45 miles each way. Had the jacket one month it has been used in the recent heavy rain with no issues. The jacket is a good fit I bought my usual size large. 6ft and fairly chunky frame. The coat has some good technical additions to improve the fit and ease of use with gloves on. Great value jacket. So far so good

Very good for price

This replaced an old Duchini jacket and very pleased with it. Fits well (sizing accurate for me) and I like the longer length. Pockets a good size and well placed. Beware when lining's in that what seems to be a pocket isn't. Not sure how paying twice as much would result in better jacket.

What a bargain!!

Great jacket and superb value for money. Fits perfectly, plenty of pockets, armour fits and doesn't move around. Very warm, I can wear a Polo shirt underneath in the cold and it's warm, and of course great service and delivery from sportsbikeshop.

FLM jacket review
12 November 2023 by John R
Bought this in the sale at sportsbikeshop, along with the matching trousers and received a FREE back plate. Bought the suit, then was called in for spinal surgery so can't ride bikes for a while!!. Jacket fits well, nice cuff velcro fitting, gloves can get tucked in. Plenty of pockets for me inside the jacket and outside and two outside ones, good adjustment on waist and connection zip for matching trousers. Nice vents for hot days, and liner not bulky with colour coded ties to ensure correct fitting. The bit I'm impressed with is the neck hood...YES hood..you unzip, place on your head and it velcros forward to ensure a neck seal/ storm flap!! Helmet on..Brilliant..and it works
Now..I know that as I can't ride my bikes..but sat on my patio and got my son to hose me for ten minutes whilst in the suit..bone dry. In places the water soaked up into the jacket..but I was dry..and after soaking hung up and it dried well.
All in all, a well fitting touring suit for under £200 with a free back protector..bargain

Great value for money

Bought it as first Jacket for Scooter in end October / start november.
It's amazing as it's warm and has inner linning a little bit to bulky for me but since I'm new on the road gives extra safety feeling with all shoulder guards and elbows.
Sadly got cought in massive rain and jacket really impressed me.
Came out fully dry not even got between helmet and neck.
Really happy with the jacket and all the pockets it has for phone / keys / walltets etc.
I don't like to overdress so this for November with just a T-shirt/shirt under is spot on!

Robust
12 September 2023 by Derek N
Just returned from a week long tour of northern Spain. Purchased this jacket along with matching trousers; both performed well in all weathers. Jacket is very comfortable with ample adjustments to cuffs, arms and waist. Removable lining was really useful and simple to remove / refit. Body armour, including free back protector (supplied separately) were unobtrusive and comfortable. The jacket features a number of different pockets, all of which are easily accessible and intuitively positioned. When viewed against comparable products, the FLM Touring jacket was considerably less expensive, but lacked non of the features of it's more costly competitors. What's not to like?

First textile for years.

Usually rely on leather jackets, but thought I'd give this a try. I went for XL, as that's my usual size. To be honest, it's OK, but a little snug with the liner in. Certainly packed with features as others have said. Has elbow & shoulder armour, & at the time I bought it came with a free back protector, which was nice,

New jacket

Looking for new jacket looked at reviews and decided on either Richa or FLM. Tried them both and for value and features the FLM was better, even has a hood you can wear under helmet to stop rain down your neck. Plenty of vents, large pockets, inner lining that even has colour coded fasteners, clip to hold back neck fastener. Not been out in rain yet but should be ok. Only reason scored good and not excellent forgot at time I purchased it free back protector

Only had this touring 3 jacket for 3 weeks and so far it's been good, kept water out, plenty of pockets of which 3 and the phone pockets are watertight, very comfy, manage to get my thick winter gloves under the cuffs, well worth the money

Excellent Value Jacket
10 July 2023 by Anthony B
I popped into the Bristol store as I needed to replace my old and well worn jacket. I tried quite a few different brands from the £100 to £200 price bracket. I also was looking for a particular colour namely red/black/grey etc but that wasn't the be all or end all. I did not expect to be walking out completely happy with the cheapest jacket on the rails!! The fit of this jacket suited me perfectly and in particular, the collar area is so comfortable that I dont have to worry about "the neck rub" after a few hours ride. There are more than enough pockets for my needs, several of them completely water proof and of course a removable warm liner is always welcome. If I really have to have one minor complaint its the positioning of the air vents. Because this is an adventure style jacket and I have an adventure bike, I am pretty well protected from the wind in the central torso area due to the larger touring screen I currently have fitted to the bike, therefore the vents dont allow much air flow through and out of the rear of the jacket. I suppose this isn't really the jackets fault but, my previous jacket had the vents a little higher up at the upper chest area edging out towards the shoulders and this caught the surrounding air flow perfectly. It should be noted that when riding my second bike which has a much smaller screen, the air flow isnt a problem at all and the FLM vents work perfectly. The jacket seems to be extremely well made and finished off perfectly around the seams, cuffs and collar with no stray bits of cotton hanging off anywhere. How many times have we cut those off at home? The velcro straps work well, (something that wasn't so great on my old jacket even when new) and theres plenty of adjustment around the sleeves and waistband. I cannot comment on its waterproofing as we have not yet had enough bad weather to pass judgement but these days I am more of a dry biker anyway but as we all know, we do get caught out from time to time so time will tell. The general construction and materials used in the jacket, and my experience, tells me that this should be more than acceptable in the rain. The armour in the elbows fit exactly where they should but I had to adjust the shoulder pads to suit my shape. Thankfully the pads are secured with velcro so a few minutes of fiddling and I got them to sit perfectly. A back protector is not included with this jacket but Sportsbikeshop were doing a promotion which included a free back protector which was very welcome. The front zips up easily and the flap is secured with velcro AND poppers. A really nice touch. And while I remember, it also has a built in hideaway rain hood for general walking around in the rain, another well thought out addition. The appearance and construction of this jacket far outweighs its price bracket and in my view is a total bargain at £99. I have paid over £200 in the past and not got as many features as this jacket has. In fairness, I didn"t know much about the FLM brand and didn't really want to buy it because we all like big name brands don't we? But one thing is for sure, in my opinion it has to be the best value for money brand out there. As you can probably appreciate, I am totally happy with my purchase and have done about 1000 miles or so now wearing it and been totally comfortable on the bike. I will be needing some trousers/jeans shortly and gloves so I will definitely be checking out the rest of their range shortly. I am converted.

Good stuff

Worn it out in the rain and it kept me dry. It's relatively warm (even without the liner), nicely vented and comfy.
The cuffs don't open very wide, even with the velcro open so with bigger winter gloves you could have issues tucking them in, but it's a minor thing.
Not too garish either - the grey and yellow looks alright in person.

Excellent Jacket and Price
02 May 2023 by Anonymous
I bought this jacket as a stand in simply because after the Winter my Halvarssons was too tight! Not expecting too much for the price I'm very pleasantly supprised. Wore it last week for a 750 mile trip way and have to say I can't fault it. some very nice features and touches. Sadly it didn't rain so can't tell you about how waterproof it is!

Bought this jacket for my husband's birthday to go with his new adventure bike. We hadn't heard of the FLM brand before and only considered it due to SportsBikeShop sending a marketing email. It is absolutely fantastic. Such good quality, a good fit and has great features. My husband loves it!
