As a new rider with a new bike, I wanted the additional protection. Theses aren't cheap but certainly feel weel made and sturdy. Assembly is easy, using 10mm and 19mm spanners. Removal of the oem 17mm engine bolts was a bit scary, but instructions were clear, only remove one side at a time! Fitted and torqued, instructions stated 40Nm. Very happy with the results. Not too 'sticky outy' yet offer the security and confidence boost a new rider appreciates.
