Merlin Exile D3O Explorer Textile Jacket - Green

Very good quality and a nice colour, a change from the usual boring black,
I've got a few Merlin jackets I am a 47" and the 2xl fits well.

As a year round rider I Had to replace a jacket that was no longer waterproof, I found this warmer than I expected and it dealt with the rain no problems and as the rain didn't get through the outer layer it didn't take ages to dry. I think it looks really good too! Looking forward to see how it copes when the weather warms up. As for sizing I got a medium and it just about fit, I considered sending it back for a large so I could get more layers under it but didn't and I found it to be warm enough for my relatively short 10 miles commute, so I would say either get your actual size or 1 size up depending if you want to really layer up if you have longer winter rides in mind.

I have been trying to find a replacement to my Merlin Wax jacket for over a year now. I wanted a jacket that does everything a textile jacket does without looking like the boring black material they are all made out of. It also needs to be versatile. This is for anyone who wants that. Simply put- looks nice, Vents are good, liner is adequate and removable get a mid layer in instead, armour is ok but better now I've fitted ghost lvl2, jacket moves with limbs well, body shape is slim to average thankfully you don't need a massive beer gut to fill it. It would get 5 star if it was higher safety rating. Keep in mind this is designed as a short adventure jacket it would not be brilliant on say a sports bike due to the lack of back gusset.
