Easy to fit - Easy to use

These were easy to fit to a helmet though there was no extensive instructions in how to attach to a helmet. The comms are very clear and loud even at national speed limits (70mph). However, I was disappointed at the sound level when I am listening to Spotify or the radio through my phone. Anything above 40mph and even on full volume music is inaudible. Only really suitable if you want it for Comms only. Try another product if you want to listen to music. Compared to some of the other products this is very reasonably priced,

This is more a review of the customer service of SBS than the Sena 5S.
I've had a 5S for nearly 2 years. I have two helmets, both have speakers fitted, and one 5S. I swap the 5S to whichever helmet I'm using. Recently one of the speakers in each helmet started to fail. to coincidental that both sets of speakers failed at the same time, I assumed it much be the 5S. I contacted SENA who directed me back to SBS for a warranty repair / replacement.
I sent it back with via a pre paid postage label on the Monday. Delivery was confirmed by SBS on the Tuesday. Wednesday I was asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. Thursday my replacement arrived.
Outstanding customer service from SBS. And yes, I think the 5S is great. I don't ride in a group so have no use or need of mesh technology. The 5S does everything I need it to.

Replaced a more complicated 10 pro. This is simpler but seems to be more robust so far. Charges with usb c rather than fiddly micro usb. So far so good

The product is fine, abit tricky to fit but works well enough once fitted. Advertising was a 3 day wait but had to wait 3 weeks and ended up having to cancel bike rides

Disappointing Volume Level

We have 2 sets of the Original Sena 5s With Radio which work great , so when I got a new Arai Helmet I decided to get another 5s to fit on it . The first apparent dissapointment was that the latest 5s does not have a radio . First Tried it out on my Tom tom and couldn't hear the satnav instruction above 30mph , tried all the settings and readjusted speaker positions etc but to no avail, so I assumed it was a mere fault and sent it back to Sportsbikeshop for a replacement . The replacement arrived and the volume still cannot be adjusted to an audible level for riding . Rang Sportsbikeshop who suggested adjusting the volume via a setting on the app which does not exist on the 5s , they also offered to have it back to check it out but I struggle to find time to deliver and receive parcels so am just going to cut my losses & keep swapping my original 5s with radio between the two helmets .
My experience has certainly put me off purchasing any further Sena headsets . My First dissapointing purchase of many with Sportsbikeshop though

Great bit of kit

Bought two of these so my partner and myself could listen to music and chat on journeys. Easy to install and seems to be of a decent build quality. Bit confusing which Sena app to use but great once we are all connected. One earphone didn't work on one set but Sportsbikeshop quickly sorted a replacement.

Bought the S5 to go in my new Glamster helmet. I already have Sena SMH5 in my other two helmets and wanted better quality. Not that there is much wrong with the SMH5. So the Sena 5s fit really well in the Glamster and is easy to fit. The sound quality of the 5s is slightly better clarity and the unit is slightly less bulky on the side of the helmet. The Sena intercoms are great for listening to the radio or talking to friends your riding with. SBS Service was quick and efficient as usual
