Cardo Freecom 2X Bluetooth Intercom - Duo

Moved from a Sena to the Cardo freecom unit and the differnce is massive. The sound quality on the JBL speakers are brilliant, have had to turn the volume down as they are so loud, in additon my sena used to drop sound especially when using my gps, with the Cardo it does not skip or miss at all, just ordered a spare cradle now so I can use it on my other helmet

Cardo are one of the best headsets so much so I brought a second one. Only drawback is you can't pair it to more than one bike without re-pairing each time so not so good if you have more than one bike. Regardless it didn't stop me purchasing a second one

Unfortunately it developed a fault 35 days after purchasing, had to sent it back under warranty, which took 10 days. Seems to be working ok now. Not what you'd expect from hi top brand !

Have used Cardo intercoms before and this one is pretty good. Fitting instructions were easy to follow. Only problem o got was the stick on mic wasn't working, however an email to Sportsbikeshop sorted that out quickly with a replacement in the post .
JBL speakers are great and the unit itself is easy to use.
Only been out on the bike once and the quality was good,

Easy to fit and work, fits greatly on any helmet design. Only not gave a 5 bc haven't used in long journey rides yet.

Not sure what I was expecting for the money but overall a good product. I like my music quite loud. I would have liked it a little louder but that's my preference. Still loud enough for most people. Took me about 30 mins to fit . Easy to navigate the buttons.

Very easy to fit into a flip front helmet and easy to use and connect to phone. Not tried to connect to nav yet.

Sound quality is excellent, unit is easy to use. The only let down is that it wont pair to two devices at the same time, i have tried it with my i pod, Samsung phone and TomTom 550 but it will only allow me to pair one at a time. It does state in the online instructions that it may not pair with some devices (so a get out clause for cardo) so obviously a known problem. The built in radio receiver does work very well though.

Changed from an Interphone to cardo. Night and day difference. Audio quality is excellent, microphone picks me up very well up to 70mph. microphone fitting for flip up helmet far better and more robust. Bit fiddly to turn on an off but other than that very good!

I've never owned a motorcycle intercom but I'm by no means a technophobe, I just never realised how useful they were until I got this.
This is a wonderfully sleek unit that barely protrudes from the helmet. The raised buttons are really easy to use with gloves on.
Setup was easy, it links to your phone (I use an Android device) and within minutes I was set up.
The JBL speakers are quite large, but ooze quality. Once I'd fitted them and the boom mic into the helmet (Nolan N70-2X), we were ready to test.
Amazing is the word here. I can clearly hear music and voices on the other end of a call and they can also hear me! Success!
Audio quality with the JBL speakers is amazing, I really wasn't expecting them to be this good whilst doing 70 down the motorway, but trust me, they are!
Granted, larger bikes with more weather protection will offer a better experience. My CB500X needs the volume a touch louder than my TRK502, but I don't have the volume anywhere near max and it's audible.
You can set the device up to respond to voice commands too which is handy if for some reason the music doesn't play or you want to do something hands free.
I have to mention the auto-volume feature that turns the audio up or down depending on the ambient noise... Game changer. No fiddling around with the volume rocker, takes all the fiddlyness out of it!
Sat nav operation is easy enough and reliable so far, should you need to use it.
With two taps of the call button it will dial your stored main contact in the app, another handy feature to quickly call your primary contact. Other contacts can be stored or you can use the voice feature to call others.
Charging is quick but how long it lasts will obviously depend on usage. Playing music alone, I've had 2 plus weeks out of a charge (80 minutes play time a day).
I can't speak for other intercoms, but this unit is fantastic and has changed my riding experience!
