Oxford Dakar Dry2Dry Air 1.0 Textile Jacket - Silver / Blue / Fluo Yellow

Bought to replace my old vented kit on an upcoming Spanish trip. So far fit and finish well up to Oxford's high standards and as a larger gentleman I appreciate the cut. Can't wait to put it through its paces in Spain.

This is my first item of Oxford clothing and I'm impressed, this is a great jacket at an affordable price. Without the liner, it's extremely efficient at cooling, I wore it on a day's ride when temperatures (according to my bike's thermometer) ran from 18 to 31 degrees C. I kept the liner in until temperatures reached 21 degrees, when I removed it, it was a marked difference. It's very effective until about 30 degrees C, after which, no amount of airflow is going to cool you down when you're moving.
Quality is very good, as is fit. I'm 6'4", 38" waist, 44" chest, with longish arms and the XL fits me well, snug, not not too tight.

Great ventilation with the necessary protection you would expect. I'm 6"7 of athletic build so I opted for a 4XL to get that perfect all round fit. The back protection is an extra £21:00. Excellent value and quality

Very good jacket , have worn at 12 degrees with jumper under but is really a summer spring jacket . Colors are nice and Oxford kit is always well made etc .

Lightweight and comfortable jacket. The mesh panels make it feel like you're wearing a T-shirt when moving but you're still protected. Comes with shoulder and elbow armour as standard. The inner liner is useful for keeping the rain out and also retaining a little heat on cooler days. The big win for me is just how natural the jacket fits when off the bike. I hate feeling restricted in my movement when I've got to my destination and I don't want to carry a jacket and helmet about. This jacket wears just like any normal jacket without the bulk and weight of a normal motorcycle jacket, meaning I can go about my business without the jacket getting in the way. Brilliant bit of kit.

Not yet worn this jacket to ride, however it is a good fit and a lot lighter than my normal colder weather jackets
Hopefully the waterproof inner will see me through summer showers.

Went out on a crappy drizzly cold day. Jacket perforqmed well. Waiting for warm weather to see how it performs but good so far, and great value and fit.

A bit difficult to review this as it's been too cold to wear it. However, it appears well made, the fit is good and the price is competitive. Customer service as ever was first class.

I recently purchased this jacket, in the "Black Friday sale" so it was was a real bargain, as the pre-sale price was still very good to start with!

I haven't worn this jacket on the bike as yet, due to it being summer ? mesh style. However, I obviously tried it on in store for size. Once i"d the correct size (I was suprised that I had to go up to XXL even though i"m not that size in everyday clothing. I think Oxford sizing is on the small side) the jacket felt comfortable and fit me really well.
It seems to be well made and looks great!
Last summer, I wore my Rukka Kingsley. and boy was that hot!!
So, planning ahead for summer 2024, and not wanting to spend Rukka money again, made this Oxford Dakar a no brainer especially as it comes with a AA c.e rating.

Used it for my tour of Morocco in 28-32 degree temperatures and it was perfect. I highly recommend. Used the liner for cool morning starts in the High Atlas Mountains which was easy to remove as the day warmed up.

Wish I had bought this ages ago as its perfect for hot summer weather and the waterproof/wind proof removable liner means is also perfect for a typical British summer!

Lovely jacket for riding in the sun when its out. Needed a summer jacket for a while and this one fits the bill nicely. Fits well and is well made, keeps you nice and cool when riding in warm weather.
