DXR A40 Leather Jacket - Black

Purchased the jacket for the colder
Months and really pleased with the quality and looks I have more expensive jackets but ime not sure
I can tell much difference between them. Top marks SBS..

I have had this DXR A40 leather jacket for a few months over winter. The first impression of this jack is the quality. A heavy well made buffalo leather, you can feel the weight and quality of this jacket once you have put it on. When riding it gives you reassurance and in very cold weather you do not feel the cold which can only be a good thing. It does take time to break in but once it does it feel and fits is amazing. I'm well pleased with this jacket. The only small niggle I won't ride a leather jacket in heavy rain but in light rain and cold weather this jack preformed well. You might need to wear a neck buff or snood as the collar is synthetic wool which can become damp and feels a little uncomfortable. Apart from that...this has become one of my favourite jackets for autumn/winter riding, excellent value for money worth check out for a great bit of riding kit plus it looks great off the bike. This is a well put together jack with plenty of pockets and a removable thermal liner it all works well. You can tell that this is an item that will last. Thank you to the staff at SBS which is always outstanding and a great product from DXR.

I stumbled across this jacket in the Harlow store a few weeks back. It was a hidden gem and immediately took my eye. I recently switched from an S1000R to a Royal Enfield Classic 500 so wanted a change of style to match the bike. The jacket is beautiful. Not only does it look outstanding especially when you try it on, but the quality is superb. It just feels solid and is padded and protected in the right areas. Normally, with leather jackets I feel quite restricted with them being tight in specific areas. I think the biggest compliment I can give is that this jacket feels, and looks like a normal leather bomber jacket albeit with all the protection you would expect of a traditional leather motorcycle jacket. I like the detailing and pockets being in the right places too as well as the fur lining around the collar. For the price, I think it's superb value and a jacket I will wear for many years. The fact it took my eye immediately and I instantly liked it as soon as I tried it on meant I was always going to part with my money for it. To give you an idea on sizing, I tried on a 48 as this is what they had on display which is what I would normally go for. It fit me very well but only with a t-shirt on underneath and felt 'fitted', as it came in a 50 I wanted to be sure and try that on too to give me the option of maybe having a thicker layer underneath and some more breathing space if I had a big breakfast or lunch! The 50 was virtually identical to the 48 in sizing, especially the arms, the only difference was it gave me a bit of extra breathing room around the belly and chest region and I felt like this one would be the way to go. I'm normally an XL in t-shirts and jumpers and 2XL in jackets and wear 46/48 inch suits so I hover between the two sizes. If you fit that bracket I'd say go for the bigger size up. SportsBikeShop are so good though that allows you to do so with no problem as you can either order them in to try before you buy to your local shop or buy both have them delivered to your house and return the one that doesn't suit you best. Overall though, this is a beautiful jacket, which looks the part and you will not regret buying it
