Good quality great price

I was looking for a good quality boot with a bit more 'casual' for relatively short Summer commutes. The Alpine Stars brand are my 'go-to' choice and these boots do not disappoint; good looking, very comfortable and true to size. Still breaking them in (walking the dog) but don't envision any problem with first-time fumble on the foot controls of the bike. The only reason I haven't given them top marks is because of the slightly irritating 'pull-cord' lacing arrangement and the over long length of said cord: wrapping it around the Velcro banding to keep it from tangling with any controls is essential and a bit of a faff/design flaw.

Comfortable, easy to get on and off which is a lot less hassle than using full size boots.

Alpinestars are usually a size up from normal and these appear to be the case too.

I tried these on in our local bike store and loved them, but they didn't have my size.
So, onto the sportsbikeshop website I went! Find them straightaway and delivered and on my feet the following day.
Perfect. Really comfy, good quality and, as always with SBS, great service -good price too! ;@)

Comfy option for a week away

Bought these as a lightweight option to wear on a weeks holiday where I expect to do a fair bit of walking - wouldn't want to wear them day to day normally as they probably could do with some better toe protection but they have light ankle protection and feel really secure on. The quick pull cord fastening is good but there's a lot of excess string which is a faff tucking away - wish alpinestars had made this a little more practical - but overall a great show for what I need them for

Great boots, size accurate to Alpinestars boots already owned. Very comfortable to walk around in, they feel like slippers! So far very impressed and recommend. I wear them with bike jeans and they work very well.

Fitment is perfect.
Nice and secure around my feet.
Laces are long but the cone with a very handy Velcro tab to secure them neatly and safely out of the way. Haven't ridden in them yet as I bought them for the summer, but can't foresee any issues.

Nothing is excellent but these boots are very good. I got caught in a down poor the other day and they did not leak, my bike jeans took 2 days to dry. I found them comfortable to ride in and walk in, they have a riser in the heal and I did not find any rubbing around the back of the ankle. The lace thing is weird, still have not found what to do with the excess string.
