Oxford Mesh Trousers - Cool
02 September 2024 by Anonymous
Thease trousers are very comfy and in the hot weather they do keep you cool. Pleasent draft where you need them. The fit is good, I would suggest going for a longer leg than you normally wood so they dont ride up over your boots. Well worth the money. Fantastic service from SportsBikeshop. Delivered the next day, what more couls you ask for. Thanks.

Lightweight summer trousers

Excellent summer trousers with mesh panels for cooling. Not as bulletproof as regular bike trousers but the slight compromise in protection is worth the comfort.

Warmer than expected summer trousers
09 August 2024 by James J
Purchased these summer trousers after returning bulky RST vented trousers. Still more sweaty than I would have wanted but mabe that's the price of still retaining some sort of protection. Also bottom of legs need more Velcro. Overall quality good and excellent service from Sportsbikeshop

Cool trousers

Well up to Oxfords high quality standard. Comfortable and good fit. Bought to replace my vented kit for an upcoming Spain trip and so far they are excellent and can't wait to rest them in the Spanish sun.

Good
07 June 2024 by Sean
I tried several summer trousers but either knee armour in wrong place or far too long. These fit really well and good knee armour position with lots of adjustment. Ended up getting a size 2-3" bigger waist than I need as they feel more comfortable and use the side straps to pull the waist in. Only negative is the bottoms need extra velcro as they balloon out above the ankle fastening and look a bit stupid. But very comfortable and quality seems good. Best mesh trousers I've found.

Textile bile trousers

Feel really good quality and fit perfectly , the only small drawback is at the ankle where the velcro is it leaves a gap where the boot expansion area is so could do with velco upwards too, but overall very pleased

Ideal for Morocco and Spain
27 March 2024 by Tim C
My normal Morocco hot weather riding gear is out in Spain but in late April I am flying from UK into Marrakech and hiring a bike there, so I need new trousers.
Black is a crazy colour for hot climes, so I prefer silver or other light colours, with extensive mesh to let air through, so I went for Oxford Arizona Air in Arctic colour.
For the price it's a brilliant bit of kit and built-in braces (which can be removed) were a bonus. Easy waistband adjustment and metal waist clip rather than a silly popper button. No hip protector, but there's a pocket to retrofit and I might transfer protectors I saved from an old suit. When the velcro is released, the bottoms of the trousers are really wide to help put boots on.
I'm an inside leg of 30" on a good day, normally 29". Oxford only has one 'regular' leg length of 32" but I can live with that.
Whilst the Oxford knee protection can be moved using velcro tabs, it would be nice if a wider range of protector movement was possible, but this seems to be a common observation on biker trousers. My wife is a great seamstress so I might see if she can adjust this.

Good kit, great price
31 January 2024 by Jake S
I've not had the chance to wear the trousers yet as they are for hot summer days. That said they feel good quality, fit well, I went for a size up so as to provide more room and to have the air flow freely,. The trousers have knee protection as standard. The Service was and is excellent as usual.

Summer kit
11 December 2023 by Robert I
Very good fit, also purchased jacket. Trousers are sized well I take a large and these large fit perfect. Jacket needs to be one size up from normal. Appear well made, bought as go to Europe to ride every summer and my Scottish weather kit is a bit much. Let's the air flow well so should help keep cool

Great buy
19 September 2023 by John D
The fit is good like most Oxford gear, and I was quite surprised at how well they worked in the recent hot weather, first they felt warm but as soon as you started moving they were brilliant

Not for Me
19 September 2023 by Alan S
These are not for me, I found them to be hot and sweaty. They have what appears to be a plastic membrane and I had to check several times that it wasn't removable as they acted like a boil in the bag.

Mesh trousers
26 August 2023 by Tony H
Light weight, comfortable, great value. Once I had positioned the knee armour in the right place their great. I did get extra velcro put in on the lower leg as I didn't think it was good enough. But that is my view.

Fantastic value warm weather jeans
31 July 2023 by John P
I wanted some vented textile jeans for a summer European trip and after speaking with SportsbikeShop decided on these. They proved essential on my trip as temperatures averaged in the mid 30 deg Celsius peaking at 43 ????
The jeans performed very well, being the Arctic grey colour helped too. They vented well, excellent build quality and were very comfortable, sizing being on the very slightly generous side. I'm normally a 34" waist and the medium were perfect. The braces were comfortable and I added the optional hip protection. Thoroughly recommend these if you're after some vented jeans at a competitive price. I'm looking to get the matching Arizona Jacket for my next trip. SportsbikeShop service was excellent as usual.

Light weight and breezy
31 July 2023 by Ali B
These are really cool when worn on the bike, probably too cool for North Wales where I live, (waiting for warmer weather.) They are however, comfortable to wear and I like the fitted braces, I am 5' 10" and waist of 36" the large regular size fits perfectly standing up, not so perfect sitting on the bike, they ride up too short, partly because the knee armour is too low, even at the highest of 3 settings, maybe I should have bought the long leg but I'm fed up having to send back trousers that don't fit. They would be a lot better if they had a zip fitted at the ankle plus some padding at the thigh. I gave these 4 stars as they were the best fitting out of many trousers I tried and nice one sportsbikeshop for having free returns.

Good lightweight trousers
24 July 2023 by CB
Very pleased with these; appear well made and the fit is spot on. I actually like the braces, which I thought I'd remove immediately, as they allow you to wear the waist a little looser without feeling they'll fall down. Anyway, the braces can be removed/reattached with velcro, so you can make your own choice AND change your mind later. I'd have liked to have seen belt loops, but that's just my view. I don't like the one small velcro fixing at the bottom of the leg - clearly saving money on a zip, but it needs to fully close the flap further up the leg and it doesn't.

Comfortable, cool
12 July 2023 by Anonymous
Really nice trousers. Comfortable in various riding positions. Only thing that's a bit annoying is the velcro on the ankle of the trousers can come undone while riding, but it's not happening all the time, nor is it really too much of an issue
