Ideal for Route 66

I purchased this specificity for riding Route 66 from Chicago to LA in September. The weather got hotter and dryer the further we went, and this jacket was ideal.
Nice and airy and a good light colour to reflect the sun.
No back protector included but a pocket for on provided so I popped one in from another one

I bought this jacket in preparation for a long weekend in France touring the back lanes. I was super happy with the jacket as it performed perfectly on my long weekend trip. I'd say that for the money, this jacket would be a great option for summer riding. It was a little smaller than expected and the first one had to be returned. Definitely go a size or even two sizes on your normal jacket size, up. The jacket is well ventilated and keeps you cool when riding in town or in very hot weather. The shape of the jacket makes it comfortable to wear. The zips are good and stay put when pulled to a specific place. The hand pockets are a good size. I was amazed to find that the jacket was somewhat water resistant. A light shower didn't get through. Proper rain however needs to be kept out with an over jacket waterproof. All in all, it is a great jacket when used for its' intended purpose. Well worth a look if you need a summer jacket and at the price, it is a great option.

Can't believe how good this jacket is, went for a ride this afternoon, 29°C so put through it's paces, FANTASTIC, why didn't I buy one sooner.
The guys at Boston were excellent, nothing too much trouble for them (sorry for the heap of jackets I tried on before choosing) my choice of colour Jacket shipped in from another store in just a few days, kept me updated and saved for me 10/10 Thank you... ?

Great Fit

Brought this jacket at the end of June when we finally had some hot days for my afternoon commute (13miles) back from work. Received my jacket quickly as usual from SBS, and ever since it has been a lot cooler and raining so not put to the full test yet. It does let a lot of air through so below 90 deg, I find it to cold but it is excellent quality, great fit and value for money.

Oxford sizes slightly different than those shown on SBS, but as I am aware (2 other Oxford jackets) got the correct size.

Nice fit and good quality materials and finish. Mesh construction really lets the air in to cool you down and help stop you sweating on hot days. Elbow armour is a bit stiff but could easily be changed. The collar tab is a nice touch to keep it out of the way. The velcro wrist on the wrists is probably a weak point long term but can't really complain for the price. The grey colour is darker than expected. Am normally an XL but went for 2XL which fits well with additional back armour. Overall very pleased with the jacket.

What a difference in 29 degree heat!! Wind is obviously still warm, but so much more comfortable. 18 degrees with just a T shirt underneath still comfortable, although I do have a screen. Definitely worth the money, nice fit as well, looks smart with decent quality zips and velcro cuffs. As close as you can get to wearing a "T shirt" but much safer. I do recommend.

Love this jacket, it's a fantastic fit and with the recent spell of warm weather the jacket has been absolutely invaluable to me, the elbow and shoulder protection fits perfectly and the back protector I removed from my Oxford textile jacket also is a perfect fit, this jacket is lightweight and stylish and looks great with jeans
