Shoei X-Spirit 3 - Aerodyne TC-2 Blue

2nd one of these I have had. Great helmet great price.

Bought to replace a small NXR that started hurting after an hour or so on. Went up to a size medium and Sportsbikeshop were super helpful as ever in swapping in some bigger cheek pads to keep it fitting snug. The helmet itself is top quality, fit and finish is noticeably better than some other brands and plenty of customization available as above. It also appears to be more stable at speed than my old NXR despite being a bigger shell size. Very pleased!

I had a x-sprit 2 and when it died I went to Arai as I had one in the past I ended up getting rid of that and now have a x-sprit again. What a lid, the fit and finish are great. the visor lock is a little fiddly and I ended up locking it down a couple times but you get used to it . I will be staying with Shoei for the future that's for sure.
I just wanted to add the service form SBS was excellent and has changed the way I think about buying lids online.

Always Shoei helmets for me. They suit my head shape and I can reliably buy a new helmet in the correct size. Build quality is superb in this helmet, proper job. Very light, very comfortable. Comes with a pinlock evo and a clear visor, so it's good to go for the road but you'll need to purchase a separate dark visor if required. With open vents there is loads of cooling available, much more than I've had in previous lids. Perfect for track riding, for me. The dark visor from my old NXR fits this.

Have been looking at getting an X-Spirit 3 for a while now, but wanted one that was that little bit different in style.
Missed out one of these before as had run out everywhere in my size in the MM93 graphics.
Low and behold, another final few came out!
Bought this online, late one evening and arrived early the next morning, was incredibly fast!
This helmet is just excellent all round, the finish, the build quality and the ability to customise the fit inside to make it perfect for me is amazing!
Used in the boiling hot heat a few weeks ago, and the venting is just out of this world.
You can feel the air flow glide through the helmet, and how the pads remain cool inside against your face and head, despite the heat outside is great! So much work has gone into the design of this, it just shows!

Utterly firm at speed, so Shoei wind tunnel testing on this product created a totally successful result. Can be very well ventilated according to your needs using the various adjustable intake openings. Love this helmet.

I was looking for a lighter helmet and this one feels so light, no fatigue after hours of wearing it. I've swapped from a flip up so it was always going to feel different. I prefer the ease of removal with the flip but the weight benefit outweighs that plus I get lots of compliments on the colourway of this lid. The fitting is very secure. Plenty of cushioning.

Superb helmet in every way possible. Would highly recommend, my best helmet to date.

What can be said - it's a Shoei helmet, excellent quality light weight and supremely ventilated.


Visor removal is quick and efficient making it really easy to swap in a tinted visor for the sunny days.

Has space for comms systems if that's your thing

Colour design is fantastic.

I have several Shoei lids and I am a large across the patch.

Well worth the Money

Excellent helmet, the difference in cheaper helmet and expensive ones is obvious. Just the fit and everything is great. Its light weight, and your head isn't wobbling side to side at speeds like cheaper ones. I'm very happy with my helmet
Easy to remove visor, I got the dark smoke which looks awesome, but remember the pinlock supplied with the helmet doesn't fir the sports visor so you have to buy the proper one.

After purchasing this helmet last spring and unfortunately writing it off on a trackday, in my mind there was no other I was even going to consider to replace it, this helmet is outstanding in every way, fit, comfort, wind, balance etc, the list goes on, worth its money no doubt.

I went to the Harlow store as I wanted to try a few helmets on and the staff were amazing. I tried on what felt like every helmet in the showroom and stockroom, great advice from the staff and nothing was too much trouble. The helmet is great and so light, not the quietest helmet I have but I use ear defenders so it isn't an issue. The helmet has a real high quality feel to all the mechanisms and the paint job is deep and lush. The helmet colour I wanted wasn't in stock at Harlow but they got it ordered in the showroom and the helmet was delivered to my home the next morning.

You whack it on yer nugget and it stops the flies smashing yer face in at speed.

I have had many shoei helmets, and this one has not let me down.
It's very well made and stylish.
It's also very comfortable and fits extremely well.
I would highly recommend the shoei X Spirit 3
