Bering Ladies Alkor Textile Trousers - Black

I ordered these trousers in sizes 14 and 16 because I was unsure what size I'd need as I've never purchased anything from Bering before. First, the positives: I'm a 12-14 waist and the 14 fits perfectly. They fit like proper trousers rather than voluminous Goretex waterproofs that I've always worn previously. They are actually quite flattering! The fabric feels like great quality, the Bering logo is quite discreet and there's no naff writing or unnecessary zips, flowery embroidery, or pockets or tags etc. on them. I'm 5'6" and the length is perfect. There is some armour to the knees. However, there are a couple of negatives: The waterproof lining isn't breathable. I tried them on at home, on a warmish day, they are a close fit, and the liner was sticking to my legs within minutes, so perhaps a pair of thin leggings or tights underneath might be needed to remedy this. Also, there are zips to the outer ankle/calf. I'm not sure what purpose they serve, as these pants don't stretch enough to be worn outside my Daytona boots, but they are also too bulky to fit inside the boots. So this means I either purchase the Alpinestars J-6 boots I've been looking at so that I can wear these pants, or send them back and save the extra 160 that they'd cost...
