Bull-it Covert Evo Straight Covec Jeans - Blue

I would have given this five stars were it not for the fact that when off the bike the knee protection can irritate the area of skin around my knees, just because of the prolonged contact with an area of skin that is not accustomed to it Of course, the obvious thing to do would be to remove the pads, when not on the bike, which is easy enough to do.
Otherwise these jeans are great. They fit well. I even got away with a size smaller than I usually wear in trousers due to the stretch fabric. They also look more like trousers than denim jeans, which means they are smart enough to wear for work. Unlike another pair of jeans I have, which are only "A" rated - the Bull-its are "AAA" abrasion rated, there are no zips at the side of the knees for removing the protection. While this means you have to take the jeans down to remove the protection, the overall look of the jeans is the better for it.

Reassuring with AAA but also look about as good and smart for work as you can get. Very similar to real jeans and knee armour is subtle. Armour stays where it's supposed to too. Only downside is armour cannot be removed from the outside so stays in the whole time with me.

Comfortable and nice fit, seem good to ride in

Comfy, the stretch is good for standing or sitting on the bike. The regular leg length was too short for my seated position so I exchanged them for long.

Felt like I needed an alternative to my cumbersome textile winter/wet weather kit. Saw these on offer - AAA rated with armour (which comes in a little bag which I thought was a nice touch). Even without, the material feels slightly padded. But when on, the armour wasn’t overly intrusive. My waist is around 32 on a good day so went with a 32 regular as in normal jeans I’d go for 32/32. I did find the length a wee bit long although having them turned up is trendy again, so all good ?
Now I just need some more casual boots to go with them!

Buy a size down. They are larger than normal.
