Alpinestars Andes V3 Drystar Textile Jacket - Forest Military Green

Great service & delivery, exceeding my expections. Split delivery of multiple items but everything arrived ahead of schedule.. Really pleased.

I love this jacket, which I bought to replace my old Andes V2 when the main zip broke after many years' use. It looks great and the darker colours should hide the road grime and insect marks that have made my previous light grey V2 look a bit mucky at times. SportsBikeShop Harlow provided both my normal M size and an L for me to try and, like other reviewers, I found going up a size was a much better fit for me this time. The Alpinestars quality and style is outstanding as usual and the range of adjustment and number and size of pockets is superb. The SportsBikeShop service at Harlow was really great, as always, with the lovely young lady who served me arranging for a brand new jacket to be sent to me from the warehouse after I noticed a couple of minor things on the L jacket in stock (I was being a bit fussy!). That arrived promptly the next day and after my first ride in the new jacket I am very happy with the improved warmth compared with the Alpinestars ST-1 jacket I used recently. It's good to know, from experience with the V2, that the zipped vents also work well to provide cooling in the Summer. I am delighted with the Andes V3, especially after benefitting from the SportsBikeShop Black Friday offer which made the price even better than usual there for such a good jacket. Excellent jacket and service from SBS

Considering the cost of this jacket you would expect to be paying a considerable premium for the comfort level. I found this jacket warm, windproof, waterproof & movable with zero restrictions. The jacket size was larger than my normal size yet it did not swamp me or feel over baggy with substantial adjustment at the waist and arms if needed, fits like a glove. The body armour is not immediately obvious or annoying when pressed against your elbows unlike some jackets I tried on at a similar price point. The pockets are easily accessible when needed. The fit at the neck for me was perfect with enough clearance to allow head movement without clashing with the collar yet at the same time protecting me from the wind. The included liner is easy to remove and refit also.
All in all a fantastic jacket. Great service from the lads in the Glasgow branch.

The jacket was an upgrade from a RST pro jacket, its so much better made. The zip feels sturdy, all the velcro is super strong and the inner warm lining has kept me nice and toasty. Would highly recommend, especially if its on sale! Pairs well with trousers and both have kept me warm and dry on 100+ mile wet rides, the wrists on the jacket are big enough to go over my large winter gloves but adjust small enough to also work with my smaller summer gloves too.

I'm really impressed with this jacket. Nice and warm, waterproof too, but the well thought out ventilation means I don't overheat. Theres loads of pockets including a big one on the back, perfect for carrying waterproof trousers. I particularly like the front Velcro flap, big sturdy main zip & diagonal windproof liner. That all really keeps the wind out without being too fiddly
At the moment there's nothing I can think that I dislike with it.

For the money, I think this is a good jacket. Just sitting on the ferry coming home after 4days in the Cantabrian Mountains of Spain where it rained on/off for 3days!! Kept me dry. The only niggle is the inner netting on the arms is very loose and needs pulled upwards towards the shoulders to get settled in place (to stop it hanging outside at the cuffs).

Ordered an Alpinestars Andes v3 drystar jacket, performed well in all riding temperatures, with just a T shirt underneath, I'm 5'11", average build & sized upto an xl jacket.
got caught in heavy rain & worked perfectly, dried out quickly afterwards.

I wear a 36 or 38 jacket and the size small fits perfectly, with a jumper on over t-shirt or base layer. I've ridden around 300 miles so far in wet weather and stayed perfectly dry. There are plenty of pockets and a snug yet comfortable fastening around the neck. The removable liner is a great feature to set the jacket up for the temperature conditions. The armour to the shoulders and elbows feels very discreet and there's an accessible pocket for a back protector. Great service and lightning quick delivery from SBS.

This is the second Andes jacket I have bought the other is black and bought it 10 years ago and is great wanted a summer jacket so chose this V3 no regrets some great improvements, very comfortable, did buy the CE 2 back protector £50 well spent

I've owned various Alpinestars kit over the last 8 years including the original Andes Drystar outfit. Not been disappointed yet. This looks well made.
