Had Rev'it kit for the past dozen years and was very happy with the quality. Rode in all weathers everyday and never let me down. So no brainer when it was getting a bit tired to go for Sand 4 and not disappointed at all. Quality seems even better if anything.
After lots of reading reviews and consideration of do I want laminate, drop liner or removable linings I settled on the Sand 4 kit. Only wore it a few times but what a game changer for my riding comfort. This is so flexible on how to layer it and the ventilation is second to none, totally comfortable in 28 degrees thanks to the massive amount of ventilation. Unlike the jacket Rev-it don't say the waterproof liner can be worn over the trousers, which is a bit disappointing as it means the trousers will get saturated unlike the jacket but that's only a minor negative, overall I made the right choice of having the flexibility of changing layers, and like the jacket the quality is top notch.
Good and warm at 4celcius. Pretty good fit Large 5ft 10, 34 waist. Bit long in leg but ok(reg). Kept me dry in showers but nothing torrential yet Bottom is wide but can pull in with velcro. Bought for touring so wanted separate liners. Vents seem adequate although not tried in heat yet. Also bought Revit braces separately as they slip down without ..another 40 quid or so but they work..have velcro attachment at front and zip at back.
Great trousers, well thought design, comfortable. True sizing(European sizing not so baggy) Trousers feel quite lightweight, with good ventilation. Good size side pockets, Unfortunately hip pocket only one and quite small. Haven't tried in the rain yet but hopefully waterproof enough
I bought these to match my Sand 4 jacket, I am a 36" waist and the XL fit perfectly. Very warm with the liner in and extremely comfortable. I also purchased the Revit Strapper braces and they have added to the feeling of security.
Comfortable trousers, work best with the revit strapper braces so not the cheapest when you add these to the total cost. Good fit and warm with liners in, pocket design and liner connections are really well thought out and even the knee armour is in the right place for me.
The multi layer construction may be slightly inconvenient at times but does allow the set to have better performance in all seasons. However, when using the waterproof inner layers on the jacket you seem to be unable to zip all the way round as it bunches up the waterproof layer and tuck it inside the trousers, instead you need to use the short zip on the trousers to attacked to the zip waterproof layer instead. Overall. I would recommend this set.
Purchased these after previously purchasing the jacket which I purchase for a European trip. Not everyone cup of tea as liners and water proof membrane are all removable which makes them ideal for warm weather but a bit of a pain if you need to put waterproof membrane in if it rains
Well these trousers are certainly a massive upgrade from my 10 year pair from another manufacturer. They feel so light weight and are very comfy. I've now been in them for several hundred miles and i am loving them as they aren't bulky. Not really tested the waterproof ability but i'm not worried looking at the quality of the membrane. Great little features of the pocket design and vents
I bought the Rev'it sand 4 trousers to match with the Sand 4 jacket that I had purchased earlier in the year. So, the two are only a matter of months apart and wearing-in well together. So far so good .Excellent fit, very comfortable from the start, warm and waterproof with the built in armour seating in the right place every time I wear them. Been in daily use along with the jacket for a month now and really pleased with this product. Plenty of pocket space, waist adjustment and ventilation for summer days to come, highly recommended 10/10
Great fit and hold the knee pads in correct position thanks to adjuster behind the knee. Good waterproof protection and well manufactured.
The waist adjustment rides up slightly and could do with a soft sleave to avoid rubbing but this is the only very minor criticism. I would definitely purchase again.
Bought a the rev'it sand 4 trousers to match my sand 4 jacket for tour of Ireland. Jacket and trousers feel well made and I've contrasting black trousers to the camo jacket. First test was a ride up the M5 motorway in med to heavy rain…. Unfortunately my chest and crotch were soaked within 10 miles…not sure what the problem is but theses are not cheap so hopefully it can be rectified
These trousers/pants by Rev'it have significantly improved over the years. The build quality and thought process that went into the design speaks volumes. Small details such as folding over zipped pockets on the front rather than the sides, the ability to fold/pin back the front vents rather than just the previous side zip down open orientated vents. The extra velcro'd leg fasteners to get them snug as possible and of course better placement of the knee guard position.
Simply put, they seem to have cracked it!
Well done Rev'it. And who doesn't love the army style design!
