RST Sabre Airbag CE Leather Jacket - Black / White

First off, this jacket fits me perfectly (bought 44"- I'm 5'11 and about 80kg) and is very comfortable to wear, especially on the bike. It looks good and provides excellent all-round movement and protection.
The first jacket I was sent had a damaged zip for securing the RST jeans to the jacket. After getting the two garments attached, it took me (and the wife) 30 minutes to try and extract me from the gear!! Sportsbikeshop demonstrated their usual brilliant after sales service and I returned the jacket for a replacement immediately. Jacket No. 2 had to be sent back to the manufacturer after about 2 months (I should say that I use it almost daily) as the stitching on the Velcro tab at the top of the main zip came away. It's not a crucial component part of the jacket and if it had been a year old, I probably wouldn't have been bothered. Once again, Sportsbikeshop were awesome and took care of the return and expedited a swift repair. I had the jacket back after a week.
I have other RST products and haven't had the bad luck I've experienced with this one, so hopefully I've just been unlucky. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and the minor niggles I've had in this instance wouldn't stop me from buying RST again.

I've only had this a couple of weeks so early to really give a good appraisal. Early thoughts are it's a comfy jacket and not too bad when the sun drops on cooler evening. Easy to set the in&motion up, £12 a month for the box to activate the airbag but a piece of equipment I hope I'll never use. Decent price from SBS and great service as usual.

Good: high quality construction and good fit. Perforation gives more airflow than I expected. Zips are good quality and not too fiddly. Can't feel airbag when riding.
Bad: the weight of the back protector and airbag unit hangs from the collar which causes a fold at the top of the back when on. The collar hangs lower at the back than I'd expect on the neck. Access to the control box to switch on or off requires unzipping the back and reaching in. However, bad points are minor enough I would buy again

The jacket is comfy, sturdy, well made, AAA rated, and airbag integrated. I added some shoulder and elbow level 2 armour to complete the package.

The In&Motion couldn't be easier to setup via their app... was up and running within half an hour! Very impressive.

Brilliant quality from RST and the integration of the airbag is very convenient. The air bag gubbins do, however, take up some real estate in the jacket. I had to go a size up and it is still quite tight but reassuringly so. It is not uncomfortable and is actually more comfortable when riding than when stood up. It is vented so, when wearing in cooler conditions, I would recommend a good base layer - shame the vents are not adjustable.

Decided to buy an airbag jacket for the additional protection.
I think the extra expense over a 'normal' leather jacket is reasonable.
Really easy to set up my account online to register, pairing with my mobile phone was straight forward as well.
The jacket is very comfortable and very well designed fits really well.
I went for one size above my usual size due to the extra room required if the airbag goes off.
The quality is great as always from RST.
