This is a replacement for my 1st generation Dominator jacket which after seven years has finally stopped being fully waterproof. You get a good lot of airflow through with all the vents open and as soon as it starts to rain you can close the vents and carry on. No having to stop and faff about with liners or outers. As other reviewers have said there is stiffness to this jacket. I like that because it's one of the only textile jackets I've worn where you can't rotate the armour out of the way of your elbow. Only downside is the internal pockets are much smaller than the first generation jacket and no longer fit a phone, but that's a fairly minor grumble as there are multiple other pockets.
Excellent jacket, waterproof, fully armoured (almost), snug fit without being too tight. good ventilation when you need it, cozy when you don't. I really like the storm collar when it's really coming down !
It was a little stiff and unwieldy when new but has loosened up after a few uses.
Excellent, well made and quality touring jacket. Tested in mild weather not yet in cold temperatures. Bit of stiffness to be expected as it is new. Again, the delivery was seamless by Sportsbikeshop.
Was considering a Klim or Revit and have to say the Revit is amazing. These jackets are not cheap but definitely worth it if you want to stay bone dry, cool when it's hot and the look great too.
I Really like Rev It Gear. But that's a personal choice of course.
For me You don't see many out there and it's really excellent gear. The video review done by sportbikeshop was really great and made up my mind. It's not cheap at all as it's their top of their range but it's up in the price range of Klim Rukka etc.
Regards to Sizing Im 6 ft and pretty much standard size. 44 in chest and 34 in Waist and regular leg. Initially ordered large as that what many forums said but was too tight. XL is just perfect. The returns and customer service was as ever second to none.
If you want something different but as good as the bigger names this is their top of the range and it has been great.
My only niggle is the jacket os very stiff in the arms and shoulders but maybe that's the fact it's new. I don't recall the BMW rallye gear being like that. But that's a minor point and will surely loosen up over time.
Over all great service and delighted with the jacket and trousers.,

Evolving from its predecessor, the Rev'It Dominator 3 Gore-Tex jacket comes with an updated and cleaner design. Ventilation, waterproofing, and refinements to every element of the construction have been made to upgrade performance and comfort for the rider. The detachable storm collar - which protects the neck of the rider against the elements - can be stored in the back pocket when not in use. The jacket, is of course, fully waterproof, and breathes easily, thanks to the 3L Gore-Tex laminate. In higher temperatures, airflow to the body is improved by redesigned VCS|Zips at the upper and lower arms while Rev'it's patented VCS|Aquadefence panels on the chest cool down the upper body. 3L Gore-Tex Pro reinforced Armacor fabric is used on the shoulders for extra abrasion resistance and durability. Protection is solidified by Seeflex CE-level 2 armour and a Seesoft CE-level 2 back protector. The jacket is prepared for the Seesoft CE-level 1 divided chest protectors. The detachable kidney belt provides stability and protection to the lower back area.
