Shark Spartan GT - Blank Matt Black

Very nice and quality crash helmet,
Nice design, very comfortable.

First of all sportsbike shop were excellent. They gave me a significant price match and the helmet was received next day as per DPD schedule.
This Spartan gt replaces a shoei xr1100 which is ten years old. The fit (medium) is a very good snug fit. It appears very high quality and is plusher than old helmet. Visor mechanism works great and it's dead easy to remove visor. My first ride in it was today and it was a 284 mile ride from Wirral to Cumbria and Yorkshire dales. Very comfortable and quieter than shoei. The vents work very well so much so that when I opened top vent my head nearly froze! The chin vent channels air onto inside of visor but does increase noise considerably. Few niggles, mainly that the sun visor which although very useful today steams up immediately. I learned to crack main visor open a tad before deploying sun visor which was then ok. The other niggle is the pinlock steamed up just above left eye. When I've had this happen before it was always on an edge which was solved by rotating mounting pins. I'll try that again but due to it steaming away from edge I'm not sure it will solve it. However I'm still very pleased with helmet.

Great quality. Internal is well designed with pockets for intercom system. Good sound proof and comfort. Internal flip down visor is excellent. Vent system works well on hot days.

I bought this for my partner as he loved the design. I already have a Shark Spartan GT in different colours and can that I'm really pleased with the fit and performance. No issues with pinlock or any other part of the helmet and it certainly gets alot of wear with me! I find it very comfortable and has good ventalation when it's hot. The other thing I like is that the intergral sun visior comes down nice and low so you don't get a 'line' in your vision which you do with some some visiors.

First time with Shark Helmet and wish I had tried them years ago.
In-built sun visor added bonus.

I had the basic shark helmet which I liked but I love this.

The helmet itself looks great, but I was disappointed to find a tiny scratch on the outside of the visor. I didn't have an option to return it as I needed the helmet straight away.
Also, the pinlock isn't a good fit. This is the first shark helmet I've had issues with the pinlock visor.
The helmet is a snug fit.

as it is with shark lids, comfortable, superb quality, all the padding fits just perfectly. You cannot go wrong with this lid, and the price is great.

I am happy with my new helmet, first impressions are good. Comfortable fit and good finish, seems quiet on the road, well packed and speedy delivery as promised by SBS.
