Knox Shield Spectra Denim Jeans - Indigo Blue

The jeans cut and feel are great, but, the button popped off on first use.
Not returned, will see a more robust one on-
Knox at those prices ought to use a tougher button-metal maybe..
Plus I might go the gym!!

The Knox shield spectra jeans are some of the most comfortable jeans I have worn. Well constructed and the protectors stay in position. Knee armour can be removed in seconds without taking jeans off. AAA rating is superb. Recommended

I had to go up one size from my usual and they fit well with a belt. The hip armour does feel a little bulky compared to what I am used to when off the bike but works well when seated on the bike because it is not too deep. The stretch material does help the comfort but it is not sufficient to stop the knee armour from riding up a little when on the bike. However still covers the knee cap so gives a feeling of security. The stretch also allows me to wear sports style boots under them. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Decent protective jeans for wearing when riding and mooching about a village. Feel good when on and when walking about. I bought the size above and they fit perfect. Look better than others in their class. You wouldn't wear them over a pair of Levi's, but my Levi's wouldn't save my skin if I had a tumble. Worth the dosh, material feels quality and they go well with my TCX boots. Great service from Sportsbikeshop.

Great jeans....v lightweight but feel safe enough. Stretchy and supportive in the right parts, let through lots of air so definitely a summer trouser. Knee pockets on the outside are a boon as when removed they reall do just look like normal jeans.

Love these jeans. They are stretchy so no issues getting on or off. They are pretty lightweight, compared to my other kevlar lined jeans. The external removable armour is ideal because the best bit is these jeans look like non bike jeans for when you have to socialise with the non bike community .

Over the last few years i've owned a few pairs of bike jeans but it's true what they say ,you get what you pay for ! They have a bit of stretch which is most welcome and the armour fits spot on .I did replace the hip armour with my John Doe XDM which is not as thick and fit the pockets well. As for the size i'm a 34"and took all the advice and ordered the 36" which were slightly loose but fine with a belt ! They are extremely well made and being that they are made of the strongest material on the planet they should be fine if the worst were to happen .

I've had a few pairs of kevlar lined jeans and they have been good. However, they have all felt a bit bulky due to the lining and can be warm if we happen to have good weather.
I have been considering a single layer armoured jean for a while so as my old pair were looking rather sad, I sent for these.
What a difference, with the armour removed I do not think anyone would think they are anything other than a pair of jeans. The slight stretch makes them comfortable and fitting the knee protectors via the zips is a doddle.
Order a size up, an am 32 waist and the 34 fits perfect. They do feel slightly stiffer than an ordinary jean, but that is to be expected if they are to protect your skin in the unfortunate event of a slide. I sincerely hope that none that buy this product ever have to test the functionality but the name gives me confidence.

Not used in rain so can not testify to water resistant, but fit well and comfortable on my bike (RT). Size seems small as had to go up a size from my Hood Jeans. I like the easy access knee pockets for armour which is very thin. Hopefully will never test protection levels.

A substantial but single layer jean, very well made. Armour fits unobtrusively and gives the feeling that, in the event of an accident, they would offer very good protection. I would buy again.

You don't always want to wear leathers in the heat and these jeans are the answer.
Knox have put together a superb fitting riding jean that feels as safe, if not more so, as textile pants.
Fit is as good as leather with a slight stretch in the material.
Make sure you buy a size up from the Knox size guide as these jeans run one size small. A 34"waist fits my 32" waist exactly

These single layer jeans fit well ,not as much stretch as the Knox Dalton jeans I had previously but they appear to be made of a stronger fabric - love the way the armour slips in and out so brilliant when touring- great for the ferry or hotel etc
