Verified Customer Reviews for PMJ Deux Denim Jeans
Customers generally appreciate the quality and comfort of these jeans, noting their lightweight and protective features. Common praise includes the unobtrusive armor and the jeans feeling like normal wear. However, sizing issues are frequently reported, with several customers advising to size up due to the slim fit. The jeans come with knee and hip protection and a leather belt. Despite minor gripes about fit, many recommend the jeans for their comfort and protection, particularly for summer use.
After sliding off my Kawasaki wearing a pair of these jeans, the jeans were torn at the knee, they clearly did their job and protected me from any scrapes and bruises. The armour in them worked a treat.
The 2nd pair was bought to replace the first pair.
finally a true 32 size! every other brand I tried 32 waist and its normally it fits like buggy even if it said slim or skinny fit. the armour a bit bulky. so I have changed it too d30 on a hips.
highly recommended product if you like your jeans to fit properly and not like baggy jeans.
Had to go a size up but the Leather belt supplied with the jeans helped. Long in the leg but after I'd turned them up they made a nice length and added a little style but kept a good length for my ankle boot.
I'm a 34" waist, ended up with a 36" fit.
I'm a 29" leg, ended up 32" fit turned up a little.
The jeans are a very lightweight fabric and hopefully strong, the armour fits very well and despite the size issues it ends up in the correct places. They do let the cool air through whilst riding and are very comfortable to sit on a pub bench in. Not the deepest front pockets but good access in to them.
These are...nice, very nice even. Very comfortable, not too heavy, can barely feel the armour, good to wear all day long, but... THEY SKINNY!!! They sure as hell are NOT meant to be worn over boots.
On advice from previous customers, I ordered the next size up.
I could barely get them on. They were not described as skinny fit, but that's what they were.
Good quality though, and good value with a nice leather belt, but I had to return them because of the fit.
I'm happy with my pair, although the fit won't be for everyone. Even though they are long in the leg (bike jeans should be) the knee armour still sits a bit high for me.
Lovely comfortable jeans, bonus as they come with full non obtrusive armour and a leather belt, can't tell they are motorbike jeans, go a size up for a comfortable fit , they aren't baggy or boot cut just lovely fitting.
My normal Jean size was ordered and hey presto, they fit! Some makes I've tried are sometimes quite different, but not the PMJ Deux.
They are well made and come complete with knee and hip pads which for me were in the right places and did not need adjustment.
Very comfortable and should allow for many miles of summer riding.
A nice touch is they come in their own storage bag and are supplied with a leather belt.
At AAA rating they are my go to riding trousers.
I'm very impressed with these PMJ jeans, having previously had other makes. The slide protection time is very good, yet they wear and feel pretty much like normal jeans. The knee armour is surprisingly unobtrusive, hip armour is provided, and so is a great leather belt. I'd highly recommend.
I purchased these to replace the Oxford ones that got recalled recently as I wanted the AAA protection but in single layer feel (mainly for Summer).
When they arrived (next day!) I tried them on and they were a nice fit - I usually wear 38-40 waist jeans and went for the 40s from some reviews saying to size up. They felt a little thicker than the Oxfords but weren't as slim fitting on the legs which I like. The main downside is the Level 2 armour which is pretty illy especially on the knees. So I'm swapping them for Oxfords L2 Dynamic Armour which is similar to D3O Ghost but in level 2 protection (SBS - you should stock this it's brill!). Hope I never test the strength of the jeans but they suit my purpose (looking tidy when going to work on the bike without having to get changed).
Great comfortable jeans. I'm normally a 34r in a Levi but got a 36r and they are perfect for me.
Really nice jeans. If you're after a slim/skinny look with max protection these are the jeans for you. Nice belt too but beware of the size. In Levi's I'm a 31. I ordered a 32 and they fit me well but they're on the tighter. I think that's better than being loose though!
Great jeans. Feel very lightweight compared to other lined jeans. These single layer ones feel cooler and much more comfortable in comparison. The armour is also very soft and flexible compared to other jeans I have had. They are a bit more expensive but you can tell in the quality. Really, you don't notice they are bike jeans as they as so comfortable and easy to wear.
Only issue id they come up very long. I ordered 'Short' and they are still a bit long on me and I have 31" leg.
These jeans are really nice. AAA rated so equivalent or better than leather but feel and look like normal jeans.
I went for my normal size and they fit perfectly but beware if you have thighs like a bodybuilder these probably aren't for you - the cut is more skinny than anything but not in in anyway uncomfortable.
Great service from SBS who reduced the price when I notified them or a pair cheaper elsewhere.
Nice jeans, they seem well made and great safety rating for single layer. My only gripe is sizing, I am a 34 in all other jeans including riding jeans but 34 in these were super tight and the next size up 36 are looser than I would have liked...also the armour I got with my first set was different than the second set.
One label says it was 34 the other 36 but that's just a minor gripe
Great fitting jeans, full protection and fantastic service!
Review based on sizing and incorrect description of these jeans (standard PMJ description). Firstly the jeans are described as "casual fit" but they are more of a skinny / slim fit. I ordered my usual size waist and short leg that I tend to go for, and the waist is too tight and short leg is far too long. The short leg comes in at 32", which in some other make jeans would be considered a regular leg. The pmj voyager jeans also come in short leg at 30" so I'm confused at what length pmj consider to be short leg ?. The other issue is that they are so slim at the bottom, you would struggle to get them over any slim boot. Touring boots forget it. They are probably best suited to wear with trainers or low cut boots, and the bottom of the jean will sit on top of the boot, not over it unless your boots are slim, or you tuck the jeans inside the boot. Having said all that, the quality does appear good but shame the sizing is so wrong so be aware when ordering your normal size. These jeans would probably best suit those who like a slim fit and wears trainers or slim boots allowing for the extra leg length to cover down to the ankle when on the bike. Sadly they didn't work for me.
As usual, I can't fault the service by SBS, quick delivery and easy return procedure.
I initially tried a pair of Spidi J&Dyneema, which were a great fit until I got on the bike. Even at 5ft 10, the inside leg was too short to cover the top of a pair of short boots. They went back, and the PMJ arrived.
The fit is similar, however these are marginally tighter. The standard leg is also a good couple of inches longer, meaning that they sit nicely on the bike. At 12 stone and with comparatively large thighs, they are a snug fit however with the stretch in them they are very comfortable to wear. The wash on them isn't too strong and they look just like a pair of casual jeans to wear. I've no idea how good they'll be in the event of an "off", however I'm hoping to never find out.

High heat resistance, cut-resistant, no melting point and low flammability make Twaron the best high protection innovative synthetic fibre. PMJ uses in its products a ballistic Twaron, the same material used in the production of bullet-proof vests, which is different from all other aramidic fibres, thanks to the shuttle construction with weft/warp woven. The material obtained from these innovative yarns is much harder than many others, but of course also much more resistant. The resistance is much higher than mixed Aramid/Cotton fabrics, knitted fabrics, linings and felt. PMJ is the only company that conducts abrasion resistance and cut tests on their aramid fibre. The test is the same used to test clothing for motorcyclists and provides results known throughout the world (EN13595).
