Love these trousers, only downside is the shin guards are too long if wearing inside normal Sidi boots so have to be worn outside them. Otherwise I’d give 5 stars.

Over the years, I have owned numerous items of Alpinestars products. Jackets, trousers, boots, gloves, etc...
They have always remained consistent in quality, sizing and durability.
Purchased these Pony 3 armoured leather pants, in pursuit of an all day comfortable, protective touring trouser. True to size (corgi legged), 32reg fit perfect.

Just be aware, regardless of the dual zipper calf feature. These pants have substantial full length shin armour. Which prevented them from fitting comfortably either inside, or outside my full length armoured sports boots.

I have now paired them to a pair of Alpinestar Superfast short length boots. Perfect match, should be all day comfortable and safe.

Can't comment on the durability of either item as yet, they haven't had a full season of use.

Previously owned Dainese Pony 2 leather trousers which I've had now for over 10 years so needed to update. Love the mat leather look and still has the great armour in knees and lower leg. Didn't want leathers with Knee sliders not my style. Good quality leather throughout and extremely comfortable after the first couple of rides. Great service from sportsbikeshop my go-to-place for just about everything bike related.

I have been wearing armoured jeans from various manufacturers for a number of years, these would ride up and I found them generally uncomfortable.
I have found the Pony 3 leather trousers comfortable to wear through this hot summer and even on the cold days. I like the design with subtle motifs and no fancy sliders so just what I was looking for. It’s a pity that they are no longer produced but hopefully the new replacements will be equally good.

Finding what fits you , is hard work !. These are lovely for me , and zip into my Dainese jacket .
Not had long enough for a review on durability.

Chose these as I wanted road leathers with out Knee sliders but fitted and shaped like sports leathers, all good and meet this brief, good fit and quality so overall pleased. Just a couple of things to note but not necessarily negative. The knee armour is padded and comfortable on the skin side but has a hard plastic outer shell and this runs all the way down the shin almost to the bottom of the trouser leg, this can make a tight fit in side your bike boots if these also cover your shins. I may remove these are just fit D30 knee pads but I will have to modify the knee and shin pad pockets to hold just knee pads up in position. Finally the trouser to Dainese jacket zip goes around about 260 degrees so not enough for Track day use and this is the only zip, it would be nice to have a short say 6 inch extra zip at the back centre for quick and easy every day use.

A quality pair of leather non racing trousers that match up perfect to my matte black Sportiva jacket, very well made and so comfortable, true to size, good all round adjustability and protection knee/shin/hips, excellent service also from Boston SBS, happy chappy.

A worthwhile upgrade from the original Pony jeans I've had for 6 years. The fit is much better & I like matte finish & understated Dainese logo. Try on or Buy at my local branch of SportsBikeShop works great too

This my second pair of Pony Leather Jeans
Although very tight when bought they are loosening up really well to give a perfect fit. If anything better than the Pony C2 pair I had before.
Combined knee/shin and hip protection is very comfortable.
A minor detail but I would prefer a hook clip rather than the popper for the waist closure.

The are very well made and feel very protective. The leather is quite thick but already breaking in after a few hours wearing them.

I wanted a pair of leather trousers for touring so I didn't need anything sporty looking with knee sliders etc. These fit the bill.
