Verified Customer Reviews for Oxford Mondial Advanced Textile Jacket
Customers are generally pleased with the jacket's comfort, fit, and functionality. Many commend its waterproof performance, noting that it keeps them dry even in heavy rain. The jacket's laminated fabric is highlighted for its quick-drying properties, and its design features, like vents and pockets, receive positive feedback. Some minor criticisms include the low neck and slightly stiff armor, which some have replaced. Overall, customers find it excellent value for money compared to more expensive brands.
I've been using the Oxford Mondial gear for over 5 years. Had to recently invest in a new jacket and trousers as I'd gone up a sizing. Whilst I did briefly look at other brands and options I quickly settled on the same gear albeit a size up as felt it represents good quality at a reasonable price.
This is the second of these jackets i have had as the first one cuff zip failed after 18 months. However the jacket was replaced without any issues and other than the zip i have had 18 months of great use! Like any jacket, in heavy and prolonged rain the water will eventually get in but a light over jacket seems to be the answer.
This is by far the best and most expensive jacket I have ever purchased. It really does show spending a little bit more is worth while. It's warm and comfortable with plenty of pockets and plenty of vents for when it gets warmer too.
Excellent jacket i went to mot bike and it was really cold.out but could feel.the wind through the jacket and kept me really warm. Feels good on well worth the money
Good quality jacket for the price, as always top class service from sportsbikeshop.
So far so good been looking for a new all weather jacket without the silly price tag for a while now. I would advise buying the next size up but so far very pleased with my purchase although not been out in heavy rain yet , I will try and update this review when I have .
Only tried in.light rain but ok.
I brought a large which fits ok apart from the adjustment on the neck, which does not close up and leaves a big gap .
All other jackets adjustments are fine. Hi
Wind proof and comfortable not tried in rain yet but overall a good jacket
Fantastic quality suits for the price, very well made. Had to go a size up on the trousers. Keeps me very warm and dry in the pouring rain, through an half hour downpour. Only had it a week, so can't comment long term. Great easy and very quick service from sportsbikeshop also.
Excellent jacket, well made, good design, comfortable, great price for a laminated jacket.
I haven't used in rain but it's snug with the lining in and a good base layer when chilly.
A well made jacket which is really comfortable to wear and packed full of useful features. The neck fastening is secure and adjustable. Two inside pockets are a generous size to take even the largest mobile. It is easy to adjust at the waist, arms and wrists. Not in the least restrictive when on the bike. Very warm with lining in. Four outside pockets. It has clip back vents on the chest, also clip back neck fastening, which coupled with the rear zip vents, indicates it can serve as an all year round jacket. At a great price, excellent build quality, it is worth serious consideration.
Well fitted jacket and lining - very happy with purchase. Size as described.
I've only had this jacket a couple of weeks, but very pleased with it so far. The fit is true to size, with good adjustability. The insulating liner works well and has kept me warm and comfortable on some chilly mornings. Not had an opportunity to test in very wet weather yet but hopefully it will meet expectations.
Been caught in a couple of downpours and it did a great job of keeping me dry, it's comfortable, fits well and doesn't restrict movement. I do not miss messing about with a waterproof liner! Very pleased with my purchase.
This fit me the best out of a few adventure styles and for the money (on sale) is amazing value. The vents are very good and the number of pockets are about right. The thermal liner is warm and comfy and without it it's cool. The neck at the front is lower, which I like as a lot of jackets press on my neck at the front so I can't actually do the Velcro or popper up. I haven't worn it all day in the rain but I got caught in fairly heavy rain on a ride and it kept me bone dry. Nice not to have to faff with a removable waterproof layer.
I've had this jacket 4 months now and have just got back from a tour, down to Italy, Switzerland & Austria.
I have to say, I'm impressed with the jacket.
It feels like a good quality jacket and I got it on sale too.
I had temperatures from 5 degrees to 25 degrees and the jacket was surprisingly warm on the cold days and the venting worked on the hotter days.
I rode through a few showers, but nothing too heavy and the jacket was fine and seemed to dry very quickly.
If I did hit heavy rain, I would put my Oxford rainseal jacket on top too, I do have faith in the Mondial jackets waterproofness, but I'm a belt and braces guy lol.
My only criticism, is that the breast pocket, is not deep enough to fit a 6.5inch smartphone.
But all in all a great jacket.
This jacket has had a great start, second day out the heavens opened for a few hours. Jacket never let in any water and I was still warm. Highly recommend.
Does everything that I need and seems to be good quality.

Questions and Answers
How many pockets are there ? Are the external pockets waterproof ?
March 20, 2019There are 2 external pockets that are not waterproof. There are 4 internal pockets, 2 on the inside of the thermal liner and 2 on the inside of the jacket itself. Whilst there are no dedicated waterproof pockets, the 4 internal pockets are on the inside of the waterproof liner, so there should be no water ingress from outside conditions.
