Ixon Ladies Torque Leather Jacket - Brown

I have been looking for a leather jacket for some time now and never came across one that I truly liked. I love this jacket, it's well made and the leather is nice and supple. I like the high neck to deter the draughts and the stylish thermal gilet is a nice alternative to the usual drab colour. This could be worn off the bike on its own. The sleeve length is perfect for me as this area has usually been a problem for me. At 5' it's often a struggle to get something that looks right.

I am normally a 12/14 in a normal jacket and I ordered a 14 in the leather jacket. My concern is "is this jacket too small"? I am unable to wear the thermal liner inside as the jacket then becomes too tight. With my usual base layers and T shirts etc plus back armour I am able to zip up and I can also wear my heated clothing at the same time. I am tempted to try a size 16 but I fear that the arms will be too long and I may feel swamped in it. So I am using Sportsbikeshop's brilliant service of try before you buy and will probably go and try a bigger size before deciding.

The one area which I wasn't too happy with was the hard and stiff armour supplied. This would be really uncomfortable if you were wearing a short sleeved T shirt. For me it isn't a problem as I can swap it out for some much more comfortable D30 armour I have in my older textile jacket. A back protector is not included which seems to be the norm these days. The two outer breast pockets are really not much use as they are only small and difficult to get your fingers in.

Bought for the wife who loves the style and soft leather feel. A snug fit but has loosened with a bit of wear and true to her normal fit. Some jackets are just too stiff and heavy for summer wear but this us great and with a very good quality thermal liner cooler rides are covered. I'm so impressed I've ordered the male version
