Rev'it Poseidon 2 Gore-Tex Textile Jeans - Silver / Black

So far so good, only thing I can complain about is that the armour is quite hard and can be uncomfortable. Not used them in a downpour but I have no reason to think they wont be effective. Great service from SBS (as usual).

This is the lowest mark given in this site to what are essentially a pretty good pair of pants. Why?

First, the good bits. These appear well made, as you'd expect, though I've yet to test the protection, thank goodness. The waterproofing appears good, though only had 10 minutes of modest rain on my trip (7 days of all day riding in southern Spain). The easy-to-use ventilation is good - a distinct plus in hot places.

Then two irritating points. One, the bib/braces should be included as std in pants of this cost. Second, the sizings (yes, I did take measurements first) are weird - I went for large reg (as I was from their charts and would expect to be) but had to swop them for an XL/short (I have never been a short on any piece of clothing since i started shaving...). So beware the potential hassle to get your size right.

Then the genuinely bad. The fabric of the pouch that contains the heavy-duty knee pads is abrasive. This will be merely irritating if you only ride them for a few hours on the occasional day. But I developed painful blisters on both knees after my second day of touring and required full, thick elastoplasts for the rest of the tour (still v uncomfortable). This wouldn't be necessary if the fabric was smooth/"satin" and I don't know why it isn't.

So, do buy these if they seem right for you, but wear some sort of padding on your knees if you're going on a long trip. If it's a cold trip and you're wearing the inner lining, I'd guess this won't be an issue.

not used in anger yet but really comfortable fit and easy to remove the inner lining which has been a problem on other trousers. I have also got the braces and will have to see how the velcro at the front works with them as they are fidderly to fix in.

Upgraded to these from my Rev'it Sand 2 Pants. I'm 6'4" and slim build so Rev'it are the 1st brand I go to fit wise as they do longer legs. I ordered these originally in the same Medium-Long as the Sand 2 (which fit perfectly) and the Poseidon's were particularly tight around the hips and waist. Sports Bike Shop were happy to exchange for the Large-Long as I had not taken the labels off. They are now a little large but can be cinched in to suit. The large seemed to give me an extra bit on the leg length also, which helps.

On the bike they are very comfortable. I was worried going to laminated Gore-Tex would be very warm. But the direct venting gives great airflow through them. Which makes them perfect for UK riding where you don't know what weather you will get. Not tested waterproofness yet, but they seem very well designed to keep the water out.

If you want to keep warm and dry these will do the job.
Legs will fit over trail boots.
Would be the dogs if they came with braces but great bit of kit.
The fit was correct to my waist size and leg length.

Not used in heavy rain or during a fall. However, on the bike they are snug and super comfortable. Was concerned at the size I was ordering, however followed the size guide (after measuring about 15 times) and it was spot on. These are my first pair of high end textile trousers, ready for an 8 trip up to Scotland from Cornwall.
Really well made bit of kit, even the zips feel high quality. Would certainly recommend!

Brilliant Rev'it trousers really comfy & look good too. Looks even better with the matching jacket I already had.

Well made smart and efficient with all built in protection.
Waist clip fiddly at first but now familiar with new style of connection.
Paired with connectable jacket is best even if not cheap.
You pay for what you get.

Just bought my second pair of Rev-It Poseidon Goretex trousers to replace a pair I've had for 6 / 7 years. These have been excellent trousers for comfort and waterproofing. But on ordering my new Poseidon trousers I found a change in the sizing, i.e. my old pair were 2XL(38" waist old sizes) and were getting tight, so ordered 3XL(40" on the Sportsbikeshop site) and found these to be huge, must have been around 44" waist. Seems Rev-It have changed their sizing and measure around the hips on trousers. Sportsbikeshop accepted the 3XL back and sent me the "new" 2XL(Short) by return post, which turned out to be right in the waist sizing , if a little long in the leg. So pays to actually check the Rev-It site for sizing before ordering

These are good pants firstly, very well made and the velcro adjustment at the bottom is good for larger offroad boots.

Thermal liner is perfect, I've already ridden in sleet and 3 degree weather with them, no issues at all.

Only problem is the waist area, it's tight, but only when sitting down, which is the issue. Also, the pockets are nigh on impossible to use practically, as they're so tight and high, that you have to do a yoga manoeuvre to get your hand in. I usually put my mobile in my pocket when riding, but with these it's not easy or comfortable. For the rest, nice product.

Bought these to replace my Rukka GoreTex Pro trousers which didn't fit anymore. After lots of research these looked like they fit the bill. Ordered a size up so I could wear them over my trousers and they fit well. I'm 6'1" and 210lbs and the XL fit well with jeans and the liner removed. Good performance in the wet with no leaks so far. Expensive but worth it so far.
