Great retro lid!

This is fantastic for a retro lid. I bought this purely for the retro vibe that suits my Bonneville T100 and I'm super-satisfied with this lid. From a noise perspective, it holds pretty good and I always use ear plugs. At 60-70mph, it doesn't lift up and so no head/neck pain on my naked motorcycle. And as always, excellent service by Sportsbikeshop!

If you're looking for the quietest lid, look elsewhere. But this is quite a decent one for Sunday rides and motorway speeds not exceeding 70mph. Also, I don't think you can wear this during winter as it's well ventilated!

Great retro lid

All retro lids seem to have some negatives.
For this one they would be...
Hard/slow to change the visor.
Very basic ventilation (a removable blocker in the top of the visor).

However it gets a lot right.
The gloss finish versions have a lovely finish to them.
The lining is removable and very high quality.
Its comfy.
The visor is good, with solid detents and is well sealed.

Sizing.
Many say they run small. I would argue that's not the case. I think if your head is the right shape they fit as expected at the least. In fact I fit both the large (my standard size) and the medium large (which I chose for extra snugness!).
There are 3 shell sizes though so you can avoid the bobble head look.

Very happy with the lid though. As it's a bit drafty up and under it, I'll use it for shorter summer rides mostly.

My Arai Debut came to the end of its useful life. I like retro looking helmets and the reviews of the X3000 were good, it was priced about the same as the Arai before discount so I assumed it'd be similar quality. Sadly not, the ventilation is a removable strip across the top of the visor that is stored in a fiddly to access pocket in the lining, so no sorting that on the move. Not really a biggie as the helmet itself is quite drafty, especially round the ears and at the back. The visor is a very snug fit when closed with a rubber seal which means it fogs very easily in damp or wet weather, it's hard to 'crack' it to get ventilation to clear the visor without it popping up half way, not good in the rain. Aerodynamically its pretty poor too, my daily commute is 35 miles each way mostly motorway. At those speeds the helmet pushes back and tries to lift, by the end of the week I have a neck ache down into my shoulders. On the positive side it is very light with a wide field of view. and has to be said with discount cheap. Probably fine for town use but not for long high speed riding.

Bought a Triumph Bonneville and didn't want anything to modern looking I was looking at the Bell and one of these after trying both on it was no contest and with this on offer a no brainer great old school helmet with modern protection fantastic

Ordered this helmet for delivery to Bristol store so I could try it on. The staff were really helpful with no pressure to but. Luckily it fitted and I love it - super looking retro style helmet - really quiet and strong visor mechanism that won't drop down at speed. Just a shame I can't wear sunglasses with it. Oh, and they could do with a larger size for even bigger heads!!

Stunning Retro inspired helmet!!

This is my 2nd AGV X3000. I have 1 in Mono White for Winter riding when the nights draw in and 1 in Mono Matt Black for spring/summer use.Light. Easy snug fit. True to size. Brilliant adjustable visor. Comfortable and the padding is lovely. Excellent value for money with all the modern safety requirements. Looks great on any Cafe Racer Retro Mototcycle. A little wind around the chin bar area other than that when the visor is shut tight you handle notice.
One of the best helmets for me!

Looks great. It has a quality gloss paint finish and well designed hardware. The shell is compact so you get a nice looking silhouette.
Everything feels strong and well made.
The only negative to be aware of is that, due to the flattened chin section, you can feel some lift at higher speeds compared to a modern helmet with more considered aerodynamics.

This is such a good comfortable helmet. The fit is true to size. It's light and not heavy. Brilliant flip up visor system that offers many levels of adjustment. User cool shape and design of the Helmet is eye catching.
The inner padding is extremely comfortable and fits snuggly. Goes well if you ride a modern classic.

Awesome Legends Sheen Replica Helmet

I originally ordered an XL having done the self measurement thing. I went to the Reading store - super helpful folks there Heidi and Dave - The helmet I selected was way too big, so Dave ordered 2 helmets in 2 sizes for me to try. Got the text the next day and went over to try them all on. The L was still a tad too big, but the ML fitted like it was made for me. I can't thank Dave enough for the help and time he spent with me making sure I got the right size.
The finish of this helmet is beautiful - I just love it.

Had to wait a few weeks for delivery, but it was worth it. Quality is excellent. Great vision due to large aperture.
I usually wear a M,but ordered a ML as I'd heard these came up a bit smaller than others - turned out to be a good decision, as fit is perfect. Overall, well pleased.

Fantastic retro helmet

Fantastic value for money to compared to other retro helmets such as bell bullit, shoei glamster etc.
Brilliant in terms of wind noise and very comfortable. I have been able to fit my Sena speakers inside the helmet despite there being no speaker pockets and it is still a comfortable fit, at least for me however, speaker pockets would have been a welcome addition. One issue I have is that a pin lock insert can be bought for this helmet but the visor provided is not pinlock ready and so a different visor needs to be purchased separately. Overall, brilliant helmet with quality finish and comfort. Very quiet inside the helmet and despite there being no speaker pockets, a sena or cardo can still be connected easily. I would definitely recommend to others!
