Alpinestars SMX-S Waterproof Boots - Black

First time worn I rode into the city centre where I had things to do, involving a lot of walking. The boots where so comfortable it seemed untrue. I always have problems with the fitting of footwear but these were like slippers. They feel good on the bike too. I feel I'm going to have a love affair with these boots, they are so well made, perfect.

Had the predecessor to these for many years but they were getting like trigger's brush so treated myself while on offer. Great boot, brilliant fit & the quality is second to none.
A great winter & summer boot.

This is my third pair of Alpinestar boots. They are always super comfortable and are great quality. I had my last pair for 5 years and the only reason for the change is the soles have worn out.

These are the 2nd pair of these boots I've owned and can't fault them. Proved to be waterproof in torrential Scottish weather numerous times, very comfortable walking around as well as touring on the bike. Decent armour protection for piece of mind too.

Awkward to take off. awkward Velcro side bit. Very comfortable to wear though and waterproof so far.

This is my second pair of Alpinestars boots and as the first pair were super comfortable for all day riding I would expect these to be the same.

I note that some reviews have said that the boots are not totally waterproof but this point I cannot comment. As others have said go for one size up as the styling of these boots are not over generous.

As others have mentioned, they can be a challenge to put on and take off initially, but after a couple of weeks you tend to master the art. They are comfortable, once on and although a bit bigger all-round than my last boots, I have no problem with either pedal. I've worn them in two reasonable downpours and the first time they remained dry but this morning they leaked a little. I went up a half UK shoe size and they are a little roomy now but will be fine with thicker socks come winter.

Very impressed with the quality, I had an old pair of AStars that had worn out. I ordered the same size 43 but they were too small and had to go up two sizes, great service from SBS returns. I have not tried them in rain yet.......

Very well made boots, they are wearing in nicely and the size is fine (went up one size as recommended).

The only issue is the first serious bit of rain I experienced in them went straight through them - it was an absolute deluge to be fair but still a bit disappointing given the title!!

Water resistant - maybe.

Not tested in rain yet but pleased.
Fit as expected, comfortable and very supportive.

These boots are very rigid and appear to offer good protection, they are very comfortable and sizing is correct

Bought these to replace a Dianese pair that failed miserably in a heavy downpour, so far so good with one wet journey, and no leaks All day comfortable, can be warm in hot weather but most waterproof boots are. Usual excellent service from Sportsbikeshop who handled the retuned dianese

Having enjoyed using a pair of Gortex Alpinestars gloves for many years, I turned to Alpinestars for my next set of boots. What can I say other than fantastic quality and superb fit and finish. Really pleased with the purchased which has lead me to purchase a pair of Alpinestars summer gloves, again an excellent product.

Service from the Sportsbikeshop was superb. I have now purchased these boots, my new summer Alpinestars gloves and a new Helmet. Cannot fault the service or pricing. Sportsbikeshop were also happy to price match. A very satisfied customer.

Bought these for my wife - nothing worse than a grumpy passenger! Although not billed as womens, the mens 6 fitted perfectly. Happy to live without the obligatory pink flash on a logo thats rarely seen for the waterpfoofing (the SMX-6 is the alternative but NOT billed as waterproof) Made the effort to visit the store and tried many on. Look like they give good protection to the lower leg and not too low, seem good quality to last.
