TCX Fuel Waterproof Boots - Brown

Like other reviewers have commented these boots rub a bit around the calves but this problem is overcome with long socks. I bought a size 44 which is my normal boot size but these were a bit of a struggle to get on at first and the zips were a bit tight
but they have eased up. These are well made, sturdy boots and the comfort level improves with use as the leather softens.

Warm, waterproof and a comfortable fit - they also look great too. These are ideal for riders looking for a retro style but with everyday qualities. These are very well designed and made.

2nd pair I have bought ,great boots but same defect on this pair as the previous ones . Poorly finished on the top edge left me with skin removed on the shin . I offered sportsbike shop a very low cost fix ( about £20) but not interested ,just wanted to send them back to TCX .

I bought these for my partner and he loves them. After breaking them in for a few days, he finds them easy to get in and out of, comfortable to ride with and stylish in and out of the bike! They've also passed the London weather test - 5 star!

These are sturdy, feel easy on movements even after long rides, and seem impervious to torrential rain (regrettably tested!). Only quibble: long socks to cover the front edge of the boot are essential, otherwise there may be unwelcome friction of the shin.

comfort from the 1st time you slip them on, nice fit warm & well designed with good protection. I could moan that the top edge was a little uncomfortable after an hour or so, rubbing slightly on my shin, but thats more to do with my riding position than the boot, I tend to ride on the balls of my feet rather than flat footed.
overall I'd give a 9/10

As I waited 6 months to receive these boots, I have not worn them yet, but tried them on. They look really elegant. Tight fit around the shin leaving little room for jeans to tuck in. Can't wait to get on the bike with them.

TCX are a brand who have grown from humble beginings into a well established company . They supply good quality bike gear at a very resonable cost . These 'Fuel' bike boots wouldn't look out of place in any decade. They are a timeless design with added 21st century tech. The leather is of good quality with very good stiching , they have a combat sole which can be replaced if you need to services of a good cobbler . The fit is superb and without the usual stiffness normally assocoated with 'new' boots. I have used them in anger now for several rides covering hundreds of miles and can only report that the feel is spot on , gear changing is easy and the comfort is second to none . Other more expensive brands who sell the same style of boot ( a bell and a staff ) come to mind are charging much more for exactly the same type of boot and as I have tried on the afromentioned footwear I can't honestly see where the money has gone into the build !- Summary = Buy these boots or maybe several pairs as the price can only go up , they are a steal at the current price and as a footnote they certainly look very cool . Top tip - Slate grey helmet Sand colour wax jacket , black / blue jeans and the black Fuel boots , they look good in brown as well ( Job done )

Really comfortable to wear on and off the bike.
Plenty of toe room while not feeling like they're too big.
A bit taller than I expected, they come up to just above my calves, so buy longer socks!
Great grip on grass and mud.

Very good looking stylish boots, yet strongly made with a welted commando sole giving good grip. They are very comfortable although the left rubs my shin a little, but I do expect this to go as they wear in. I can't comment on how waterproof they are yet but I'd be surprised if there is a problem as the boots seem to be very well made.

After 'breaking them in' by wearing them for a couple of days around the house! Nice comfortable boots, beautifully stitched together with a nice grippy sole with deep tread. The sole has a natural curve which makes them easy to walk on, and they are tough enough to provide the protection needed for riding in all conditions. Also - the Sportsbike 'try before you buy' service worked flawlessly - the boots arrived early, and fitted perfectly - so I bought them - well pleased!
