Our customers say…
Customers have generally positive feedback on the trousers, particularly praising their fit, comfort, and weather protection. The adjustable waist and ability to cover boots are highlighted. However, some found the sizes to run small, recommending to go up a size, especially when layering. Feedback also mentioned minor issues, such as high knee armor placement and small pockets. Overall, the trousers are valued for their quality, versatility in different weather, and good value for money.

Good length of Held Vader Trouser
12 February 2024 by Brian A
I'm 6'1" 34 waist 34 leg so need a long leg to accommodate the bend of leg when riding a sports tourer. Not many brands do a long enough leg. I chose the long leg at 36" and they are just what I needed. No more riding up over my mid calf boot. Yet to try out in the rain but a great fit very pleased.
Second pair of Held Vader Textiles only due to the amount of all year riding. Have always gone up a size especially in winter months/liners etc. The only problem is the knee protection doesn't sit on the knee. Quality is excellent as all Held products
These trousers are an excellent fit and we're just what I was looking for. Wide enough to go over my boots and long enough ( long length bought) to sit right when on the bike. I am 6ft 1ins. Good adjustment at the waist means they fit my 34 waist just right.,quality seems good but I have not worn them in any inclement weather yet to test how good they are in the wet and cold. Only criticism is the pockets are very small.
After looking at reviews, I went for XL with long leg as I'm 6' 4in with 35in waist. I can never get a leg long enough or knee protection in right place. When they arrived, unfortunately they were long enough but too baggy, but Sportsbike shop swiftly exchanged for a large which fitted perfectly. Comfortable, look great, and don't ride up over boots - tested on week trip to Scotland; also brilliant value for money.
These are a good pair of trousers from held. I've had them out in a downpour and they kept me dry they are warm enough but at time of review its spring so cant comment on what they would be like in winter. I went a size up as and found they are a bit loose around the waist but sorted with a belt the only gripe I have is the pockets are tiny I don't think you could fit even your wallet in the leg pocket small complaint though all in all I'm pleased with this purchase.
Couple of 100 miles clocked up with the Held Vader Jeans, and I only wish I up graded earlier. Very comfortable and warm, but then can be opened up to let some air in if you happen to catch yourself in a moment of spring sunshine. The best thing of all is the fit! The fact that I'm 6'4" with a 37" inside leg, Held are one of the only companies that offer longer legged trousers and it makes an extreme difference in terms of comfort and warmth, no more cold shins for me.
Seem to be well made and have been waterproof on a couple of rainy commutes. Held stop the 36 inch leg at 2xl which means that if you're tall you have to be thin. I've gone 3xl in the 34 inch leg and it does cover the top of my boot, but not by much, downside is knee armour is a bit high. The 36 inch leg would have been great. Not very generous around the hip/thigh area so go up a size if you want to wear trousers underneath. Has a couple of little pockets which are not waterproof so only good for a credit card or key, which is OK for me. The nonslip seat is a nice touch and the zip and velcro openings are a good size to fit over boots when done up.
Great pair of trousers. Not as warm as previous trousers that I have had but still plenty warm enough. I commute every day rain or shine and these have kept me dry. The ankle zips are great as previous trousers (which I liked) used to always become caught in the zipper. Also the fixings at the waist are excellent and seem very robust. All in all, much better than I expected
Good fitting trousers, not too long in the leg. Plenty of width at bottom of leg to go over boots and easy to get on and off with the knee protectors well secured so the dont snag on your feet. Not so good - pockets are far too shallow and they are not paticularly waterproof - 10 mins on M6 in torrential down pour and water seeped in but to be fair it even managed to get through a top quality goretex jacket. Despite this they are good servicable trousers that look as they will last.
Well fitted and accurate to the sizing guide. Snug with the lining fitted and comfortable with it either in or out. Versatile design allows for legs to go inside or outside boots. All that and they look good too.
I wanted waterproof matching trousers for my Held Zorro jacket (which is brilliant!) and these were the ones. Good heavy duty fabric with knee guards in place (a bit uncomfortable at first while walking, but great on the bike). They can be zipped to the jacket at the back, which on a cold morning is useful if slightly awkward until you get the hang of it. The zips are all tough, with velcro fasten downs. Behind the crotch zip there is an internal baffle to keep water out. You need to undo the velcro waist bands the first time, as the pants won't fit, but they are great for snugging the trousers up. The removeable lining is great on below 10C days. Frankly I am completely made up with this jacket and trouser combo. Really pleased. While I don't really plan on riding in the rain (weekend biker), it's good to know I'm ready!
