Verified Customer Reviews for Resurgence Pekev Voyager Jeans
Our customers say…
Customers universally praise these jeans for their high quality, comfort, and excellent protection, although they note that they are quite heavy. The fit, especially in terms of waist sizing and low-rise cut, has been a point of contention for some, with a few needing to exchange for different sizes. Most find the built-in armour effective but bulky, with mixed opinions on the stirrup straps. Overall, these jeans are highly regarded despite their premium price.

Good quality &!fit
05 December 2020 by Steven G
Very well made jeans. Sizing is accurate (for me at any rate). These jeans are of excellent quality. Knee and hip armour is included; takes a while to get the knee pads in place but once you have, they stay put. Might be a bit too thick for those hot summer days but perfect for the rest of the year. Highly recommend.

Excellent

I bought these as a present for my dad, as soon as they arrived I ordered another pair for me. Truly surprising levels of comfort, better than normal jeans! Armour stays in place too.

Extremely comfortable if you get the size right
06 April 2020 by Radoslaw W
Good quality, quite heavy, very comfortable jeans. Bit fiddly to get the size right but when done, they are very comfortable and warm. They are mid range but manufactured up to quite high standards. Come with hip and knee armour. The knee pads are a bit fiddly to set up but again after two to three tries you get it right and that is it. They are of straight cut and all the material layers are quite thick so they would rather end up going over your boots than tucked in.

Top quality
28 February 2020 by Richard Q
Top quality jeans. Heavy as you expect from this level of protection. Originally ordered a size above mine but had to exchange for my exact size that fitted perfectly. Top quality Sportsbikeshop service with the return and re purchase plus a great price for a good looking high safety rated Jean. 10 out of 10

First jeans, perfect pair
02 February 2020 by Anonymous
My first jeans since getting my bike 4 months ago. Had a loan of my uncle's textiles till now.
The hip and knee protection when positioned correctly is unobtrusive both on and off the bike. Most people can't tell I'm wearing bike specific jeans.
Done about 500 miles riding in them so far and I'm struggling to find fault. At 6'1, the long option for leg length means they fit well over my TCX vintage lace up boots I also got from SBS.
Part of the reason I went for them was due to the "ride magazine recommendation". Although they are my first jeans I would happily buy them again. I firmly believe you get what you pay for and I believe I have a good quality product that I hope never have to show their protective attributes in anger, I'm happy I have that protection though.

Good Jeans but...
25 December 2019 by Peter B
Jeans are nice, heavy enough to do the job. Bit fiddly to get the knee pads in right place but at least they can be adjusted many can't. Was a bit disappointed that the stirrups are missing, it lols as though they are no longer included. Also I would have liked the jeans to be wide enough to go over my boots as it is they just fit inside again not quite well thought out. Level 2 protection is good. Like many things they are a compromise between form and function.

Top dollar expectation not met
03 December 2019 by Luke
Feel like really good quality heavy duty warm jeans initially. However with wear I have decided could and should be better for price point.
First of all resurgences sizing is wrong they come up big around the waist and short in the leg and groin. I am a safe 36 regular all day everyday. 34L in these jeans.
They are wider around the waist then they need to be, if anything should be narrower due to weight and stretch on material.
I worry with more wear they will just become loser and loser due to weight and stretch. Obviously protection that feels like it might fall off is not great.
Knee armour attached by velcro. Velcro strip on the jeans itself doesn't go full length of pocket space for armour, very odd, you are therefore limited to where to place the knee armour.
Also armour is uncomfortable against the knee. At this price material against the knee should provide better comfort. Yes you could use a base layer but these are thick/warm enough.
On my 3rd and final pair (problem with all 3) the left strap buckle to hold them in place under your foot was stitched the wrong way around resulting in constant rubbing, took me a while to figure out why the left foot rubbed but right didn't. Could just cut them off. Could exchange apart from resurgence let down sports bike shop on stock. Currently a 9 week wait.
Sportsbikeshop is brilliant, customer service is second to none. They will return, refund, exchange happily.
Resurgence first pair was labelled wrong, 2nd pair was too big I actually measured 39inch waist on what should have been 36. 3rd pair faulty. I worry that they appear to be rushing, not checking their product which makes me wonder, if size labels and buckles are attached wrongly what else could be wrong with these jeans, and do I really want to find that out sliding down the road.
In my opinion a faulty strap to hold Jean in place and wrong sizing would/should fail it as a CE level 2 garment. I wonder what quality control or checking is in place for after a garment is certified to check all future garments fit the same standard.
Put simply for the price I expected a better more polished pair of jeans. I want the best, price is not a issue when safety is involved, unfortunately these are not the well polished product the price suggests they are.

Great pair of jeans

Fantastic fit and comfort.
They are very heavy but I guess that's the protection that you want causing that.
Otherwise would highly recommend them and they look great

Quality - Resurgence Jeans
13 August 2019 by Craig S
The jeans are heavy and need a belt to keep them secure also ordered a size 34 (my normal size) think a 32v would have done (so sizes are large). That said they are excellent quality and I'm well pleased with them.

Comfy, protected feeling.
10 August 2019 by Anonymous
Made the mistake of not lining up the knee protectors properly at first, and then ended up with quite sore knee caps! Much better now I've got them in the proper location.
The jeans look great, and make me feel well protected. I think the book straps look a little bit dorky, but that's the price you pay for proper certified protection. These jeans make me feel protected, which is what I paid top dollar for!

Comfy and look great!
29 July 2019 by Adam G
My wife insisted i look for a high rated pair of safe motorcyclist jeans as I am currently working toward my A license. Resurgence is top of the line. I am impressed - they fit well - I'm probably a 35 inch waist and I got the 34 so theres a but of room.
They are heavy jeans but thats the pekev weave. They feel great on though and you forget about that. Been out in 25C heat and still feel great and don't tend to sweat. Also been out in the rain with no issues.
I am now finding myself pursuing for other Resurgence wear as Soortsbikeshop has a great range.
I haven't had to 'use' them for their main purpose, which is safety, but if I do fall off the bike, it's one piece of kit I'm glad I have.
I wear them with the tcx brown boots and brown spidi firebird brown jacket for a vintage look.

Quality jeans
20 July 2019 by Craig B
As with most things - you often get what you pay for, and these are no exception to that rule.
Well made jean, with good protection, and very comfy to wear. Due to the thickness and weight of them they can be a tad warm in the sun, but just ride faster! ha
Knee armour is just a touch too low for me when I'm off the bike - easily solved by just taking them out when I'm off the bike for any period of time. I also cut the stirrup straps of them as its one thing I've never gotten along with.
All in all, amazing jeans, and way outperform any cheaper options I've had previously.

Quality
03 July 2019 by Rick
Great service as always from Sportsbikes.
The jeans fit to size, for me anyway, although due to full lining I find them very slightly less roomy than the equivalent 'half lined' Resurgence jeans.
Overall very high quality jeans.

Great Jeans
11 June 2019 by David W
So far so good. They are very comfortable both on and off the bike. I like the adjustable knee armour pockets, I'm long from the hip to the knee so I fined in a lot of off the peg clothing that the armour is to high and puts pressure on my knees. These have plenty of adjustment.
I have not washed them yet so as long as they do not shrink I can highly recommend them. Normal excellent service from SBS.
