Oxford heated grips. The BEST
18 February 2025 by David C
Fitted to my CB500X. Brilliant product, very well made, crystal clear instructions, unbelievably good value. In my 59 years of motorcycling this is the best after market product I have ever bought. Well done Oxford and well done SportsbikeShop (Bristol branch).

Hot grips
27 January 2025 by Graham S
Simple to fit BUT BUT BUT don't use the super Glue supplied mine went off before I had them fitted so couldn't get them on or off Grrrr.
Also on my Vstrom800 I had to put turn the bar end weight down on the lathe as it stopped the throttle from closing on its own. But happy anyway.

Definitely worth having!
23 January 2025 by Sara H
I've had heated grips on all my bikes & after buying a new bike, it had to have them too. They're indispensable when riding in the cold weather. I always choose Oxford because they have a better temperature range & can be fitted easily…just connect them to the battery. No faffing with wiring them in to the loom. The battery saving mode means they'll turn off automatically if I forget. Buying them in the January sales was also a bonus!

Warm hands all year
12 January 2025 by Phil
I bought these to fit to a Triumph tiger 800, they work well, max temperature is really hot and they give you good control between low to high. Wiring the unit is really straightforward with just a positive and negative connection straight to the battery. The control unit senses when the bike has been switched off and the grips left on and automatically turns off which works well when tested. The left grip fits no problem and just requires trimming to length. The right grip was not as straight forward, it required the old grip removing from the plastic throttle sleeve and the sleeve reducing in diameter by about 1.5 mm as well as the grip itself trimming to length. It's not a difficult task just a pain in the butt and not the fault of the product itself. The quality of the wiring connectors is rubbish and could be improved.

Big improvement!
06 January 2025 by Dan J
I still have to wear winter gloves when it's below 5 degrees, and whilst my palms get very warm, my fingers and thumbs seem to stick out too much and don't have as much contact with the heat as I'd like. I ride for leisure so really I shouldn't be out in less than 5 degrees! I expect they will make all riding much more pleasurable though especially when we have a chilly day during seasons other than winter.

Hot hands required
01 January 2025 by Ian L
Bought for a friend to fit his adventure bike he said they are the perfect for the colder months that we have upon us
Easy to fit and having the desired effect of keeping the cold from the hands and I think for the price of the units it's a fair compromise

Toastie heated grips
24 December 2024 by Joshua
Can't fault the oxford premium heated cruiser grips. The kept my hand toastie and warm even in temperatures below zero. They fit my 25mm bars perfectly but the mechanic had to DIY for the throttle as the inside plastic throttle tube didn't fit my sinis hoodlum. The get so warm at 100% I found myself turning the heat setting down to 50%. The grips do feel more chunky than my original grips by iam sure I'll get used to them with time, the rubber grips provide good throttle control. Have ridden in light rain but not heavy rain so can not confirm just how waterproof the are, but everything I've brought from oxford has been high quality so iam sure they will be fine.

Excellent heated grips, comfortable and cosy
17 December 2024 by moto-dj
Fitted these heated grips to a KTM 390 Duke, to be used in the winter. They were fairly easy to fit, there are a few videos on YouTube that show how. I was able to wire them in to the accessory port behind the headlight so didn't need to run the cable from the battery. They are a little fatter than the standard grips of course, but not excessively so. They are super comfortable in use, so far I have been out in temperatures down to about 5 deg C and haven't needed more than the 50% heat setting. Top service, good price and fast delivery as always from SBS.

Life, and hand savers.
13 December 2024 by Matthew S
Bought as winter riding us fully in swing, and heavy gloves aren't cutting it any more.
Always used Oxford grips, and these don't disappoint.
My only gripe is the electrical connections, they are not sealed
where the wiring loom goes into the plug housings. You would think that given these are for inclement and cold weather, Oxford would marinise the plugs with rubber grommets.
However this is a small moan, and easily fixed with some silicone sealant.
Fast delivery as per usual from the SBS team!

Cost affective heated grips
12 December 2024 by Anonymous
These premium heated grips are great value from Sportsbikeshop. The wiring connections on these are good but not waterproof. Ok if taped and located under the petrol tank.
Bit of a price hike to get the next level up with the waterproof connections.

Excellent
12 December 2024 by Dan H
Excellent service from SBS as always. Needed these grips for my Wife's honda rebel as it has 1 inch bars. Easy to fit if your mechanically minded, removed the seat and fuel tank to route the wire nicely. The only problem I had with them is the connectors aren't the best quality as there too much slack for the pins to move around making it a bit fiddly to push the connector together properly. I cut them off and replaced them with supaseal plugs, other than that they work great.

Questions and Answers

  • Which Oxford heated grips do I need for a 2020, Royal Enfield 411?

    December 16, 2024

Unfortunately, as these are not bike-specific, we would be unable to advise on specific compatibility, apologies. We would suggest measuring the lengths of the grips currently on your bike, and comparing those against the measurements found on each individual product page.

  • Do these fit the triumph trident 660? Thanks

    November 25, 2024

We would suggest measuring the lengths of the grips currently on your bike, and comparing those against the measurements found on each individual product page (Sports, Touring, Adventure etc) to find the grips that would be the best suited for your model bike.

  • Is the maximum setting of the Premium and Advanced grips the same temperature?

    March 13, 2023

The temperature will depend on the ambient temperature and the setting which is used, however the 100% setting will be the same on both the Premium and Advanced. Our supplier isn't able to provide us with an exact temperature, however have stated that if used on the maximum setting, which is only advised when the temperature is below 0 Celsius, you will notice a sufficient heat coming from the grips.

  • I have a Kawasaki Vulcan 650 S 2017 can you advise which grips I need to order. The handlebars are the factory fitted ones.

    March 10, 2023

Providing your bike has 22mm handlebars then these will fit no trouble at all, however we would suggest measuring the lengths of the grips currently on your bike, and comparing those against the measurements found on each individual product page (Sports, Touring, Adventure etc) to find the grips that would be the best suited for your model bike.

  • Hello. I have a Honda Cb650f from 2017. will these fit on this model? Thanks

    February 19, 2020

The Sports or the Touring grips should be fine. The end of the grips may need trimming to fit - the maximum uncut and cut lengths are shown on each item. If you can measure the grips that are already fitted, the ones to purchase are the grips that require the least trimming to fit.

  • Recently bought a Honda Hornet 600 (2006 naked) could you please advise if these would fit my motorbike? Thank you

  • Hi, I have a er6f 2015. will these fit on this model? Thanks

  • Good day. I have a Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 2018 I was told that my bike has 1 inch dia bars is there away you could confirm this and tell me the best one's for my bike please, there are so many numbers I am not sure which ones to choose from. Thank you for any help you can be.

    January 15, 2019

As far as we are aware, the bars are 22mm diameter, but we would recommend checking this with your Kawasaki dealer. If they do measure 1 inch, the only Oxford grips that would fit will be the Cruiser grips.

    October 29, 2018

The grips should not drain the battery when the engine is running, unless there is a fault with your motorcycle's charging system. If the grips are left on when the ignition is turned off, the controller will sense a drop in the bikes battery voltage, and turn the grips off.
