I've got another set of long-used handlebar straps that are OK, but these R&G ones are heavier duty and superior in my view, at no greater cost. Tested them on a 50 mile trip on the trailer, no issues at all.

Great bit of kit

The idea of this is to prevent scratching plastics by tying down by the bars and still compressing the suspension. Works great and is well made of thicker material than most straps.

Only niggle is it is quite long so the ratchet side hook of my straps was too long so had to get some endless ratchet straps which solved that so be aware if it's on a trailer with close tie down hooks.

Very clever bit of kit

Bought this to tie down my SV650S to trailer and it doesn't disappoint. Well worth the money and very easy to use. Very high quality materials and robust construction. I expect it will last longer than me! I found it to be quite long and I had to shorten my ratchet straps to have enough space to tighten them.. I just used ratchets I already had so can't comment on the R&G ratchets designed for specific use with this top strap. Felt very safe and secure and protected my grips and tank during transit. Thoroughly recommended as a must have for trailering bikes.

These make loading the bike so much easier. No risk to plastics or paint, quick and easy, and cheap. Just put them over the grips, and connect a rachet strap to the loop at the other end, (well out of the way of anything delicate). Go for it, you won't regret it.

Ordered these straps to transport a Harley Davidson to an event. Very well made and fitted the wide bars perfectly. Soft central padding avoids damage to surfaces of the bike.

Just what I was looking for and highly recommended to others.

Holds very secure

Makes tying down in the van very easy. Load is spread out across the grips and holds very secure.

Great product, soft material so no chance of damage to tank, top yoke etc. Don't know how I managed before, wouldn't EVER strap bike down with out one.

Not used yet but fit my son's KTM Duke and my Yamaha XJ6S, which has a half fairing.

Perfect extra tie down points for the front of the bike.

Really handy for tying sports bikes down without damaging them as there's not many places you can hook a strap on to without causing damage to the bike.
