DetailsVerified Customer Reviews for Rukka Outlast Shirt
Customers find the Rukka Outlast base layer an exceptional multi-season garment, praised for regulating body temperature effectively in varying conditions. It fits comfortably, with many noting its snug yet non-restrictive fit, and the material's quality and softness against the skin. It's highly recommended for commuting, touring, and general motorcycling, with several customers buying multiple sets. Negative feedback included comments on size fitting issues and sleeve length. Overall, this base layer offers great comfort and effectiveness, justifying its cost.
Bought this base layer somewhat sceptically, as it was meant to keep you cool in the heat and warm when it gets cold. It really is comfortable and has been my go to shirt virtually every ride.
It really seems to work well, within certain tolerances.
I have bought another !!
I wasn't expecting much from this, but whether the weather is good or bad it adjusts accordingly.
Really impressed. Honestly folks, buy this.
Now used twice, once on a cool and wet ride and once on a hot and sticky day. On both occasions the garment did it's job in keeping me warm or cool. Really nice & comfortable to wear. Worth the cost over cheaper less effective garments.
Really comfy to wear, nice material, probably the best top I've bought
I went for a short road trip to France and wanted something to go underneath my Knox armoured shirt.
This was perfect. The best bit? The sleeves are super long (I have monkey arms!) though the back could do with being a little longer.
And of course the service from SBS was the usually high standard.
Purchased with long johns & currently European tour of 9 countries in all weather from rain snow to 26 c sun
Awesome performance & quality so comfortable bone dry and quality product best bike related purchase by far & will use for other pursuits
Comfortable and does what it says.
Very comfortable and quality product
This is the third time I have purchased one of these shirts. They are very comfortable and effective in hot or cold conditions. Have tried merino but find it irritated my skin, this works just as well and much more comfortable. Great product.
Commute to London daily. Rain, hail or shine.
Product is used every day.
On second top and bottoms now.
Better than any previous.
Worth the money
Not the warmest or the coolest base layer but one that will cover most seasons in Europe.
For colder months would recommend a proper thermal base layer like the Klim Aggressor.
The fit feels very nice. I have to buy L size in the top and XL in the bottoms as the waist feels too tight in an L.
The material feels quality and is soft on the skin. If you get the correct size, it manages to feel nice and fitted but not clingy or tight which is a good combination to have.
Defintely the base layer I mostly pack or reach for when going for a tour or ride. Have bought several sets to date.
Bought this Rukka Outlast base layer for a road trip to Spain and Portugal. I wanted something thin to wear under my Rukka jacket that would regulate my body temperature in the cool mountains and warm costal areas of my trip without having to change clothing as the temperature increased. Not being bulky it was ideal and very comfortable. I did however wear a Marion wool short sleeve t shirt next to my skin on the coldest sections.
Well worth the money looks good and keeps you warm win win.
Returning to motorcycling after an 8 year hiatus, I have returned to Rukka for my waterproof and warm clothing.
Usual high quality from Rukka, and with the 6 year warranty they deliver fantastic value.
Incredibly well made, and highly recommended.
As always, exemplary service from SBS, the only place I come to for my motorcycle apparel.
This is a really comfortable, close fitting, top quality base layer from Rukka which does what it says on the tin. It's the perfect solution to temperature regulation when worn underneath your favourite mid-layer and jacket. Fit is superb, size guide accurate and quality everything you'd expect from Rukka. Would definitely buy again.
Was sceptical, worn on an icy day and now convinced, a fantastic item
This is a great shirt for wearing whilst touring. It keeps a good amount for chill away from you in cooler weather, and keeps you comfortable when the temperatures pick up throughout the day.
It's also easy to hand wash, and dries reasonably quickly (again, great for touring).
It does fit tight, so buy +1 size up if you prefer a less clingy fit.
For me, worth the money.
Very nice material, good fit.
First time I used both shirt and pants, back was soaked within half hour in about 22 degrees. Did dry out by half ay through my journey.
I commute through London everyday do have used them a lot. Ok but very expensive for the results

Rukka Outlast Shirt
- Outlast temperature regulation construction
- Keeps you cool when hot
- Keeps you hot when cool
Outlast Temperature Regulation stores and releases body heat. It works to keep the wearer's temperature not too hot... not too cold... but just right, over a broad range of environments and activity levels. When your activity level or the outside temperature increase, the Outlast thermocules that contain the phase change paraffin begin to change from a solid to a liquid which provides you with a comfortable sensation of thermal equilibrium. The energy required to activate this process comes from your warm body or the rising ambient temperature. When you begin to cool down, Outlast thermocules begin to change back from a liquid to solid. In this phase change, the energy that was absorbed by the thermocules while you were active is returned to you.
