This product was not exactly what I expected, however it looks to be a good protector. The yellow trim I thought would be plastic but in fact it's light weight foam material. It weighs much less than it would appear. The sizing was perfect for me and it's good that Spidi make various sizes to get that perfect fit unlike most other makes.

The Spidi Defender Back and Chest mixes a Level 2 Back Warrior protector with a CE Chest protector for a unique combo designed especially for racing and sports riding. It weighs only around 700 grams and comfort is the primary goal. The Warrior technology allowed Spidi to create a shock absorbing carved surfaces made by composite shock absorbing the material, all with low weight and thickness coupled with great flexibility. Air vents and internal mesh allow transpiration and help ride in comfort, while a double fastening system gives the rider a wide choice in terms of fitting and adjustment.
